Glad you posted ( I typed "played" at first ) that--I saw that CD at a thrift shop the other day and wondered about it. twa...didja know that William's real last name was "Yarborough"? In an outstanding moment of unintentional yet intense whiteness on my part, i was talking to some guys about W. Bell, and how he was related to Alex Bell, president of Stax records (which he wasn't) and then, to double down, mixing remembrances of what I had read about the interesting family composition of Archie Bell & The Drells, I tied all of them altogether in my official genealogy. The two guys I was talking to had what was obviously a very enjoyable time explaining to me how none of that was correct, but my errors were "understandable because they were all black and sang and have the last name Bell" donchaknow.
