Now I've not been around the Stadium much most all summer. But please, please, PLEASE tell me nobody has even thought, let asked or suggested, that on here. A rook who's not played an NFL down, better than a proven three year vet. a mere 38 yards shy of 4K through that time. Sorry man - other than your point about Jones still having to prove it, I'm in the camp that believes he will steal Alf's job before December. I'm no scout, but he just looks like a beast with speed when he runs. Much less "plodding" than Morris. But, like you said, until he shows it in a real games, we won't know. Cooley in his film breakdown yesterday or the day before said he wouldn't be surprised in Jones ended up the starter at some point this year. He said the kid has a chance to be special. I don't think Jones should start a week from Sunday. But, given how he's looked plus Morris becoming a FA, I could see Jones sharing the load right off the bat and eventually starting.
