Here's what's frightening: The 2 best stretches of #Redskins QB play in the 2000s are: 1. #RG3, 2012. 2. Todd Collins, end of '07. #NFL

 

Jason Campbell's play in the first 8 games of 2008 probably deserve to be on that list as well. He was talked about by some media heads as a dark horse outside candidate for "MVP of the first half".

 

6-2 record. All 8 games at over 55% completion, with 5 at 65% or better. 8 TDs to 0 Ints. QB rating over 90 in 6 of 8 games. Averaged about 220 yards per game, with two games over 300 yards.

 

It wasn't awe inspiring but was definitely one of the best stretches of QB play we've seen here in a while; which frankly speaks to how poor our QB situation has been.

1st we've gotten a quote from DS in who knows how long.  Both say SM bleeds B&G, but how can one bleed B&G and only have been part of the organization for what, 6 months?  Unless he grew up a fan, not sure how that is but perhaps DS just thinks everyone does that's part of the organization no matter how long they've been there...  Hope SM sticks around and eventually does.

2nd quote says how DS believes SM has put together a fantastic team.  My reaction to that is, I'm thinking DS doesn't understand what the word 'patience' is about since although, yes, on paper, it appears we're better than last year, but the proof - at least to me - will be in the pudding and I realize that it's going to take more than just 1 offseason to build a successful / competitive team on the field and although I would love to see drastic improvement this season, I'm not too concerned if we suck..  we'll get there eventually when we have enough parts for the coach to play with - whoever that may be.

Or maybe i'm just overanalyzing.. haha...   :D
