To answer the tread I Really Want Landon Collins. Best safety in the Draft and physical player. And with safety a need we should definitely draft this guy I like Landon Collins but what we really needs is more of a FS with good coverage skills. Collins is more of a pure SS. He can cover ok but he isn't terribly good there and it certainly isn't his strong suit. One of the things I look for in a FS is if I can watch him play and say to myself that I would be comfortable with him as the single high safety in a cover 1 situation. That's a risk I'm willing to take for 2 (or 3?) first round picks and a couple seconds. I see Chip Kelly as an improved version of Spurrier. The fact that's he's aggressively bringing in Oregon guys is a big red flag. He already has 11 on the roster and he wants to add a Heisman trophy winning QB in Danny Marriota. NIKKI8 Posted March 7, 2015 Share Posted March 7, 2015 Last off-season Anthony Collins was a name brought up a lot for the RT job because he played for Gruden at Cincinnati and did a pretty good job when he played. The Buccaneers signed him to a crazy contract and cut their long time left tackle Donald Penn so Collins could slide right into the LT spot. I guess he didn't play very well at LT and Tampa Bay now are looking to trade or cut him. I wouldn't mind seeing him brought in if he is cut and signed to a one year deal to start at RT. When he was with the Bengals he always played well in contract years and could start until the Redskins see if they have a player worth developing more in Morgan Moses. He is definitely a good player but not sure where he would fit in a 3-4. With his size he is a little small for 3-4 DE and a bit bulky for OLB. DBuc was gone before we picked, but we then bypassed multiple chances in rounds 2-3 to grab the other 3 in favor of greatly inferior prospects (Moses was tops on my please don't draft list). And in the process we gave up chances to solve major issues on our OL, DL or S units, and as a result face those exact same needs again this year. This year, with Scot at the wheel I have much higher hopes. Guys I would be very happy with in round 1. At pick #5: Williams, Shelton, Cooper/White or Fowler/Beasley If we trade back in round 1: Scherff, Waynes, Flowers, LCollins My top choices are Williams and Shelton though. I'm with you on McCourty. He is starting to really grow on me but I hate to see so much money tied up on one player. He is a very good player but I don't think he is Ed Reed in his prime to deserve the biggest contract ever for a safety which he will most likely get. Da'Norris Searcy S I would release Roberts (if cap feasible) and Garcon and sign Randall Cobb WR Dan Williams NT Stephen Paea DL (5-tech) and 4 man DL subpackage The other spots I wait for cap cuts. I would target Chris Clemons FS Arizona I figure they have to cut him because they have all their S back healthy. I would keep an eye out got Antrel Rolle too BTW-When it comes to the draft I'm going to be real time player specific, like last year. I think it gets easy to say I wanted that guy in a general sense but much harder based on who's actually available.
