I used pecan wood and good, lump charcoal. 1
AsburySkinsFan
Ginger pepper tilapia with cheesy broccoli. Cooked the tilapia sous vide and finished with a pan sear. The searing really woke up the ginger and gave the fish a light citrus pepper. The broccoli was from the microwave! LoL not every night is filet! skinsmarydu
I cook rice according to the microwave directions, steam veggies in the bag, etc. Cuts cleanup way down to almost nothing. ? 1
LadySkinsFan
Right now, I am down to three pans for cooking on the stovetop and sometimes in the oven. The camper has a small propane oven so I won't use that, just the gas burners and my induction burner when I am using electric. Â Â

Pistachio crusted roast rack of lamb, with a fresh Italian zucchini, and squash salad.   Trimming the fat  Pan seared, salt pepper and herb de provence then coated with dijon mustard.   Into the roasting pan.  Resting.

It was my first time having them, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I know I love rack of lamb, and that pistachio crust was awesome! It also had the tanginess from the dijon. I cooked them to about 165 and they were still extremely tender. We’re still on low carb so I bought a veggie noodler and it worked perfectly! A nice crisp fresh tangy salad to balance the savory lamb.
The 12th Commandment
That crust does indeed look wonderful. Love rack of lamb, one of my favorites.
AsburySkinsFan
Ok, I found bone on ribeye roast tonight. Who has an awesome recipe for prime rib? Â Edited March 24, 2018 by AsburySkinsFan
LadySkinsFan
I never cooked prime rib, my family couldn't afford it. One of my exes had it Christmas time, but we didn't have it either because her mother cooked.  Food Network probably has good recipes. Ina Garten. Julia Child.  All my cookbooks are packed away. dfitzo53
I've done prime rib twice, liked it both times. I want to say I used Alton Brown's recipe, but I'm not 100% sure, it was several years ago:  https://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/alton-brown/dry-aged-standing-rib-roast-with-sage-jus-recipe-1939502

LadySkinsFan
This was the dessert my friend and I had today. At Maggianos. It's lemon cake with a whipped cream frosting and mixed berries. I had a few bites, it wasn't that sweet, delicious! Â Â

All your cooking chops and you don't want to make puff pastry? I actually like doing it when I have the time.

(I know because I felt the same way.)  I think you're smart not to make Wellington your first attempt though.  Have your daughter (if she's interested) make some apple or nutella turnovers, or even just cut out some rounds with a cookie cutter that you can top with tomatoes and cheese. They're ridiculously good. I'll try to find the puff pastry recipe I used, but it's basically just a matter of making pie dough and then rolling extra butter into it in layers.
