Long n Left Posted September 27, 2022 Share Posted September 27, 2022 Been a whacky weekend for me getting ready for the big move, and taking in the Presidents Cup, but did get to see most of the game. Was very impressed by the defense, best game they’ve had by far. They went toe to toe with a really good football team, in their house, and looked the part. Unfortunately, too many mistakes cost them in the end. The game they needed Lia to step up and be the guy, he just was not able. Running game looked good. Receivers made plays (except that drop by Demus 🤦♂️), and the young linebackers were solid. I’m at a bar with no audio, and I’ve noticed: kick return tackled at the 17, but play starts at the 22; PI call, which was debateable, but ball was 10-15 yards overthrown; holding call that only goes back 6 yards. WTF? At least they called the world’s most obvious holding in the Red Zone for Mich state and then they missed the FG. They keep getting swing passes out of the backfield and players are overcommitting downfield.
