Missing some open shots, Carey isn't adding much to this team right now. Final five minutes of the first half were much better. We hit 3s in three consecutive possessions, Scott, Hart, and Carey. They’re playing a loose, but still have a 1 point lead with about 1/4 to go. This team plays hard, start to finish, both ends of the floor. First half was some of the worst basketball you’ll ever see two good teams play. Tennessee shot like 28%, and still had a 17 point lead. Maryland could do nothing right. This team though shows heart and character, and damn near pulled off an amazing comeback. Willard is the right man for the job. Just hope he can recruit well. And our depth off the bench simply isn't there. Scott and Young need to score 35+ points combined a game minimum if we are gonna compete. UCLA game is huge.
