Same scoring as last year, and if you don't recall how it worked, then here ya go: you get 2 points for each team you correctly pick to win their first round series. You get 4 points for each team you pick to reach the conference finals. 6 points for an NBA finalist. And 8 points for correctly picking the champ. You will also pick the number of games for every series. In the first round, you will get 1 bonus point if you also guess the exact number of games with the winning team. In the 2nd round, the bonus will increase to 2 points, but it's more complicated because you have to have had both teams correct. For example, you can't get bonus points if you predict Spurs over Grizzlies in 6 in the 2nd round if it is actually Spurs over Clippers in 6. The pattern continues as you get 3 bonus points in the conference finals and 4 in the finals. If you have any questions regarding the scoring, don't hesitate to ask. Here is the 2011 thread. A) With Kobe out, they will rely on the frontcourt.....which they should've done from the beginning anyways. Experience usually trumps all in the playoffs C) I'm hoping that maybe I'll reverse jinx them and they end up swept out of the playoffs in the first round. Same with the Bulls, even though I picked them to upset the Nets. That's more me not trusting the Nets than a vote of confidence in the Bulls. I might change that prediction. Those teams all play great defense. Those teams are also offensive inept. They don't have star go to scorers and you have to have that in the playoffs. Meanwhile, the Knicks, Heat, Celtics, Nets, Thunder, Spurs, and Clippers all do. So do the Lakers, Warriors, and Rockets for that matter, but they've got terrible first round match ups for them. I feel like the Knicks aren't getting enough respect either. People have been reluctant to admit how good they are this year, and Carmelo is not a very popular player considering how good he actually is.
