emor09
This is great news. I'd like to see Robinson get a chance to return kicks or punts. Sadly, it will probably be Niles....

brandymac27
ESPN 980 said Banks is healthy, this was just a coaching decision. ---------- Post added December-9th-2012 at 12:07 PM ---------- They are saying its not injury related, but coach's decision. Good news if you ask me. Oops, you beat me to it
skinsmarydu
Thanks for the article. I'd love to see more production on the run-backs. If RGIII has better field position, can't help but think it helps the coaches and his mindset for the drive. Hail!
Houston2Taylor2Landry
He isn't healthy, but that wasn't the reason for being deactivated. (He needs hip surgery) And Niles Paul?????? GIVE ME ALDRICK! Don't get me wrong, Niles gets yards, but what Niles does can be done by anybody (Find a hole and run straight through it).. But, if you put in Aldrick's speed.. MAN. Jumbo
They are saying its not injury related, but coach's decision. Good news if you ask me. Coaches obviously can be wrong, but simple logic dictates they will know far more about evaluating these matters than typical fans, and hopefully be far more deliberate in their process when it comes to making moves. Take the time to make the best decision, than make it at the best time. I think this is a sign of agreement with those of us who have been thinking Banks should go and that spot be used for another. Bullets
So... do we celebrate? Is this not the most sought-after head that's been called for by fans? I think Paul's decent return vs the Gnats was the straw that broke Banks' back. Of course, we'll see how the return game is today to see if the grass is really greener but Banks might really be gone in the offseason if Shanny's doing this in the midst of a playoff push. Agreed? REEGSKINS
i have been dissapointed in banks as a returner but i like him as a slot receiver in the offense.
TheREALJBird
i have been dissapointed in banks as a returner but i like him as a slot receiver in the offense. He doesn't do anything. Moss/Aldrick in the slot is just fine.
Commander PK
Likely the beginning of the end for Banks in Washington. I just can't see how his contributions (or lackthereof) are deserving of a roster spot anymore. Changing the kick-off rules really screwed his career. He just doesn't offer enough in any other facet. moondog
I think it's already been stated but I really don't understand the thinking behind not having Aldrick return punts. He did it in college and we were trying him out in preseason last year. I'm sure Crawford is a good return man but with as much as we have at stake every game from here on out, it does not make a whole lot of sense to put so much on a rookie who has hardly even seen the field all year. We all saw how that worked out for the 49ers last year. I would put Aldrick or even Moss/DHall back there before I'd send Crawford deep simply for ball security purposes. mmzznnxx
Well I've thought Banks hasn't been cutting it for a while, so I'm glad we get a chance to see what someone else can do. It's unusual though that we have Niles doing kickoffs though. Has there ever been another TE designated for any runbacks? I'm not sure I've seen so. MFarrer74
I hope this is the last we ever see of Banks on the field. With kickoffs being irrelevant now, he's not needed.
Saeth29
He doesn't do anything. Moss/Aldrick in the slot is just fine. Yes, Moss in the slot has paid dividends. Aldrick seems to be a very good X receiver to spot Garçon.
