Skinz4Life12
I was looking and if Giants & Redskins finish with the same record we would win the East. I do not understand how but that's the fact. I think with the Seahawks losing their star corners they may have a tough road.....or hope they do. We win because we have the better division record
clskinsfan
Doesn't matter. this is all moot if we didn't **** the bed vs. Carolina, or give Eli the game the first time around. Great post! This is the truth right here. No matter what you control your own destiny. Dont lose to crap teams like the Panthers and there is no conversation right now. kiingspadee
OUR best solution would be the Seahawks make the playoffs and have to travel to FedEx Field. They are what 1-8? 1-7? since 2008 when traveling
USS Redskins
I think this team losing to two god awful teams, Carolina and St Louis hurt this team much more. Whats the point of crying about a play the skins had absolutely nothing to do with?
clskinsfan
Hmmm...I could see them losing to all except maybe Arizona and possibly Minny Urlacher done for the season. Peterson should have 200 yards against them.

Many games we could point out. Bengals end of the game. We get a false start and are backed up.....the Bengals run out onto to the field....that should have given us 15 and moved us into better field to win that game Rams game the FG when there was a holding penalty during a play should have been a 10 second run off therefore they are not able to kick that FG before halftime

NoVaSkins21
Whatever happened, happened. All of these things impacted the Skins, but also impacted the teams themselves. The stupid replacement refs screwed the Packers, the Packers screwed themselves by not beating the Giants, and the Bears screwed themselves by not beating the Seahawks. Take care of your own business and everything else will take care of itself. There's no point in crying over spilled milk anymore.
KingGibbs
We win because we have the better division record Breaking News:The NFL has just instituted a rule during the season that has now affected the playoff picture. Spearheaded by the Giants John Mara, the previous Super Bowl winner is awarded any tiebreaker based on being the defending Super Bowl champ. John Mara felt that a team should have a chance to defend their title. He was last seeing Roger Goodell's hotel room at 3:00 AM. Hours later Roger Goodell held a news conference announcing the change.
thecardiacrll
http://espn.go.com/blog/nfcnorth/post/_/id/50222/kicking-off-the-nfc-playoff-standingsThe usual disclaimer - I searched electronically and also scanned the thread titles and didn't see see this posted. But here's the deal - if the playoffs started today, the Redskins should be in the 6th wildcard position. But they aren't. By virtue of the "Fail Mary" play where the Seahawks were erroneously given a TD against the Packers on the game's final play in week 3, they now hove the 6th position and the Redskins are in 7th. Something to watch as the season progresses. That sucks but forget the wildcard we got bigger fish to fry...LETS WIN THE NFC EAST.....HTTR

Right now all we can do is win out and pray the Giants lose 1 or 2 more so we end up #1 in the division or tied w/ NY.

balki1867
Not worried about the Seahags. The Skins are going to win the NFC East. This. The Giants have a brutal schedule from here on out (NO, @ATL, @BAL, PHI), and they already have 3 division losses. Realistically we should aim to go 3-1, and get the tiebreaker by virtue of a 4-2 or 5-1 NFC East record.

Wildbunny
Thing that sucks is that they have a very winnable schedule from here on out.vs ARI @ BUFF vs SF vs STL They always play well at home and they will have 3 home games. Not sure if we will be able to catch them for the wildcard. Perhaps they always play well at home. But still, they are 0-3 within their division. Honestl,y I don't care much about the fail mary. We should have taken care of our business against the bengals, rams, giants, and panthers more than anything else. And if our receivers had come to Pittsburgh with their hands it would have been even better, rather than leaving them at homes.
FanboyOf91
This could actually happen That is delusional. It would be Roger inside John Mara's hotel room. P.S. This douchebag should be fired for failing to protect the shield.
Sticksboi05
We will probably need to win the division anyway. Seattle has three home games and one auto win vs. Arizona. Doubt they lose even one more game this year. NYG has New Orleans and a pissed off Drew Brees, at ATL, at BAL where they have lost once in the last three seasons. Pride
Good teams win the games they are supposed to win.. IMO we should have killed the Rams and Carolina, not to mention we should of won the first Giants game. We handle the teams we're supposed too beat and not give up huge plays at the end of games, were the ones sitting at 9 - 3 not looking over our shoulders. Rypien1191
Well aren't you quite the Nostradamus considering a month ago we were 3-6 and on life support.:pfft: Actually I was probably saying it longer ago than that, back when we were 2-2 and looking good! TheGreek1973
Crap. Wasn't thinking about that Who knows maybe with all the injuries the Bears don't win another game. Vickings we have the tie breaker on them. Lets take one game at a time and this week its THE game. We beat the Ravens and i will be very comfortable with our position. This is flawed logic. Look at every Super Bowl winner and you can point to one or two bad losses. Heck the skins beat the Packers the year they won the Super Bowl.
