Manning and the Saints are both huge, but I have to go with the Saints because the punishment will have a major effect on their team.

Drew Brees is still holding out, isn't he?

What if he decides he wants no part of an interim head coach?

A head coach getting suspended for an entire year, a former assistant suspended indefinitely, 2 lost draft picks... :yikes:

As wild as it sounds, neither the biggest UFA in NFL history, nor illegal, conspiratorial collusion - not to mention an owner abusing his power in the league office to punish 2 division rivals who didn't break any rules (stop and think how mind blowing that is for a second) - can touch Bounty Gate. In any other year, the latter are the biggest stories.

This has been a mind**** of an offseason.

This has been by far the most entertaining offseason I’ve ever experienced. #1 story for the NFL as a whole has been Peyton. Seriously, all you had to do was tune in to ESPN at any given minute of the day to get an update. Bountygate is a close 2nd. For Skins fans, trading to #2 is massive.

But after the dust settles on this cap fiasco, I get the sense that it has the potential to be one of the biggest NFL storylines in quite some time. It all depends on how to plays out with the arbitrator, and if it ends up in court one way or another. If it goes to court, and the NFLPA decides it’s really pissed about how the uncapped year leading up to the lockout was treated by most owners, it could potentially result in having to completely throw out the CBA they just agreed to. The collusion to limit salaries in an uncapped year is evidence this was not negotiated in good faith and the players ended up getting royally* screwed.
