I assume you have played on some level, you want guys who want to take penalties to take them. Raheem obviously did not want to take it. Plain and simple, they capitalize on their chances in the first half they win. They had chances, but they didn't have anyone willing to step on Bestakis's throat... This was the stunning exception. (Told yer j Mario should of stayed on for the pens.). More pissed I have no more European trips to go on this year. Good effort but the fact remains, as much as j will hate me saying it, BR is as far away from winning a trophy as ever. Three years in. And now Everton ..... EVERTON ...... Have lasted longer in Europe. If you lived here, you'd appreciate just how horrid a prospect the coming days will be after that. jobaga Posted February 26, 2015 Share Posted February 26, 2015 I will not blindly defend BR, but I don't think he should shoulder all the blame. I think his biggest flaw is his ego. The pitch was horrible and the game was physical. Liverpool had a hard time playing with flair or making intricate passes. This game was crying out for a more direct approach. Unfortunately been pretty crappy in the BPL. Lukakku stepped up big with 5 goals in these last two Europa games. As bad as the season has been its going to be fun to watch them in the last 16.
