gatorskin77
Well I'm sure Jason will be happy to know he's finally not the most hated guy on the team anymore!
Skinzaddict1983
Do not like this signing But if it means we get OL help @ #4, I guess I am for it.
Chump Bailey
You have to be ignorant to say Laron Landry sucks. He's overly aggressive but there's not a team out there that wouldn't give up a 2nd for him right now. And we should jump at the opportunity to do so. Always A Commander Never A Captain
dude, step away from the keyboard for a minute. Breathe. It's gonna be ok. I understand you think he sucks, but you are overreacting a lot here. you're points are noted. I'm panicking tbh. If Rex touches the football once here in DC, a part of my soul will die. That's how badly people in Chicago think of Rex.
AirMayo21
I think us signing Rex Grossman is to just let us know how we COULD have it. Its the front office being like, hey be happy you have Jason Campbell, because you could have this tool under center.
PorkSkins
Since Kyle Shanahan had him in Houston, I would say he knows what he has in Grossman. He fills a need right now. There have been far worse QB's on this team in the past. Let's keep moving forward to the draft...
Always A Commander Never A Captain
I remember Kyle Orton taking the Bears to the playoffs, and then getting benched and Rex taking over. Do I have the seasons confused or did the Bears go to the playoffs back-to-back years with Rex leading a year and Kyle leading one. The defense led the Bears to the '06 Super Bowl...and Devin Hester. Hester + the Bears defense would outscore opponents while Grossman would commit turnover after turnover.
Rob Mexico
Don't panic....he isn't going to be starting. Not a chance.
Lombardi's_kid_brother
Ohmigod! Ohmigod! Ohmigod! Ohmigod! Ohmigod! Ohmigod! This is seriously the most exciting news I've ever heard. I want him starting immediately. I don't think we are going to be much better than 6-10 next year but with Sexy Rexy, we will be the most exciting, jaw-droppingly ridiculous 6-10 team ever. Philip Pease
I think the coach wanted to set an attitude that every position on the team is being competed. Rex is a competitor to Jason.
flexxskins
A lot of people here didn't even believe that we were interested in Grossman just because it was PFT that broke the news. Maybe this signing gets PFT some long lost respect back?
TaylorPainTrain
Who needs Clausen or Bradford when you have Campbell and Grossman? I laughed so hard I threw up. Then I started crying......

Yea, but didn't Rex get hurt that season and Kyle Orton come in let's say week three and gp undefeated or like 10-1. I then remember the Bears fans chanting for Rex who came in and didn't look any better, but the Bears still went to the Superbowl. I can't be the only person on ES to remember this happening.??????????????????????????????????????????????????

Koolblue13
He is a back up vet who knows the system and can help whoever our QB is. Wow. Better than TC15,
LadySkinsFan
Maybe Rex has been brought in to teach Colt Kyle's system. Trade JC for draft pics (if possible), Rex works with Colt to get him up to speed to see where he really is on the depth chart, don't know what to do with Bartel, draft a QB this year for the future. Interesting choices are presented. And for all the non-Cult of Colt posters, until Colt is cut from the team, he has a future here.
dadirtbags
well we all wanted change...this is part of it fellas...we all need to chill and understand we are not going to like every move this new front office/coaches decide to do...personally...I like the signing...yes Rex was not that good with the bears...but name one QB who as been great with the bears? it is hard..because I cant name one that I would consider putting in the top 20 of all time It is obvious...Kyle wanted Rex...I'm sure he needs players who are within this organization that already bought into his system. Lets give some slack and wait and see
rick1796
I think we need the redskins to change. we should bring in Mike Kafka to lead the 'Skins through this metamorphosis. HAHAHAHA literary jokes. Sorry i needed to say it, but it certainly didn't need it's own thread. Ready Kafka?
hammond72
Great! Another (former) Gator QB. Can Danny "Waffle" be far behind?
prophet
Hmmm Rex was horrible with the bears offense. How did Cutler do last year in that offense? From Pro Bowl to Int King....
Mr. Jones
A good friend of mine went to college with Rex...and has sent me a rather wonderful picture of him doing wippits at a party before Florida lost to (I think) Alabama. He could be a solid backup I suppose.
