sjinhan
the sign of the end for the Cult of the Colt.... who is going to start the Rex bandwagon thread?
rick1796
Neet. He's no answer to the QB position, but he allows the Skins to trade JC if they can find willing partner and still not start a rookie if they don't want to. You can do a lot worse for a backup QB. Try and forget he is a 1st rd bust, and view him as he is, a nice journeyman QB backup a la Gus Ferrotte.
sjinhan
oh yeah during the preseason.. the idiot fans in Houston was calling for Rex to start over Shaub... it didnt take too long before those fans came to their senses

earl
Yes.....bye bye Mr. Clausen. Youth meet our offensive line. I'm so relieved, maybe all this draft a QB @ #4 talk will finally end. But for some reason i still doubt it.

Forehead
Hopefully, he never takes a single meaningful snap for us. And that Super Bowl bit is misleading, he didn't lead the Bears there, Brian Urlacher and the defense lead the Bears to that game.

redskindan07
It seems like the Skins have made moves in recent years making us the laughing stock of the NFL. Hopefully this will not turn out to be one of those. Who knows with a decent line if he ever plays, he might be ok
rick1796
This is hilarious. If this kid had been drafted in the 5th rd people would be saying what a solid backup QB we have. Because he was drafted in the 1st he's a bum, and a bad signing as a backup lol
Bat~man
Wow that sucks...but not like we are going to win much next year anyway. Guys need to forget about the idea of trading JC, not going to happen. Who would pay that high for him?
TimmySmith
Combine Grossman and Campbell and you have a Hall of famer, or the worst QB ever. I take it that this means the Skins will not draft a QB in the 1st.
Dirty#30
I don't know what to think about this... I mean if darn near everyone is up in arms about Jason being a mediocre QB, then what are they gonna say now? In my oppinion, this guy makes Jason look like a Pro Bowler... But... this could all be a ploy. Maybe something is immenet. Like trading Jason and still picking up a QB in the draft. Grossman is familiar with Kyle's system when he was with Houston last year. The could theroetically start Rex this year while the Rook gets up to speed. Trade jason for more picks to shore up the O-Line and other key positions. I don't know where we're going with this. But, it' only one year....
HA1LV1CT0RY
He is there to help tutor the other QB's in the new system?

Hail Gibbs
Better than Chris Simms. Just a cheap backup QB anyhow, not that big a deal.

JeffSchmeff
He is there to help tutor the other QB's in the new system? This is what I was just going to say. He's familiar with Kyle Shanahan's system, so he can help JC and the other QBs get up to speed. Even if we draft a rookie, someone else that knows all of the terminology could help them get up to speed that much faster.
