I think Enter the Dragon could be categorized as revenge movie. I mean, right here he get's revenge on the guy responsible for his Sister's death. :D

(Can't have a revenge movies thread with all kinds of gratuitous violence and not mention Bruce Lee ;) ).

Hell yeah I love that movie! Bruce Lee and Jim Kelly are the best overactors of all time. The sound effects are killer too.

I just watched an all-time favorite again - the Shawshank Redemption - which could be considered a revenge movie for the way Andy Dufresne (Tim Robbins) sticks it to the system, the warden, and the guard who robbed him of his freedom and abused him for all those years. His patience was great as his wait for revenge was long, but the payoff was sweet.

probably the best i've seen.

another good one, with a nice twist ending is 'malice'.

Inglourious Basterds. I guess that's a revenge movie. Revenge on Hitler.

That has repeatedly been called Jewish revenge porn.

Though she starts off by being a vigilante, she does get revenge at some point, I liked The Brave One.

Man On Fire was awesome. I know it's a remake but I think with Denzel, Dakota Fanning and the fantastic score (though occasionally, Tony Scott's techniques both enhance and interfere with the drama) make it quite an experience. I actually cried in the theater, which was quite a strange thing for me.

I think it's important that to qualify, the inciting incident must be what spurs the character to revenge, not an action film where someone also happens to have a revenge motive (thus the first Die Hard isn't truly a revenge film.)
