I_Bleed_B&G
Temporary lapse of memory. Thanks for reminding me. There have been so many injuries this season it's hard to keep track of who is on IR and who isn't. I know what you mean. It is so hard to follow this team to begin with. Hunter_R
This is BS. Landry should be on the bench, not starting at SS.
Teller
Reed Doughty is our best safety. Period. Benching him for a garbage player like Landry is ridiculous. Landry is the Robert McCune of safeties. Looks like a Greek god; contributes nothing.
Teller
where in the world have you been? Horton is on IR And was benched in favor of 37 BEFORE he got hurt. (No, I'm NOT going to let y'all forget that part.)
Xero21
I've wanted Landry at FS for a while now, supported it before, but not anymore. This is a good move as long as Landry continues to be too aggressive.
Special K
Glad it took us until the virtual end of the season to figure out Landry is probably a better fit here.
Vicious
Did you just contradict yourself here?I could be wrong, but I don't think we play a whole lot of cover 2... which is what you described in the second quote. No we're going to be fine, they're not going to make kareem do what he can't do. You're right we don't, but jerry gray was talking about it when he had ST and LL. LL'll be used in coverage still. mistertim
Yup, I have a feeling we'll see some of that split the field type deal with Laron playing on half and Kareem playing the other. It'll be a mix bag. Moore does not have ST speed. ST wasn't a burner. He was definitely fast for his size but wasn't insanely fast; sideline to sideline speed was enough. What he DID have was insane play recognition ability and knowing when and where to break. If you look at the best free safeties they have that trait. It is almost a 6th sense it seems. ST was pretty much always in a position to make a play.

cphil006
Draft another first round safety?Just how many user accounts do you have Cerrato? Haha... I know it sounds preposterious (sp?), but this guy is better than Ed Reed... I don't want to draft a safety for the sake of drafting a safety, I want the best impact player... not by a small margin, but this guy will make an impact by a large margin over the next guy... If there are a few players that are close in impact and BPA, get your position, but if there is a guy above and beyond everyone else in terms of how good he is... draft him... that guy is Eric Berry. As evident in the New Orleans game, we need a FS... If he is gone, and Sam Bradford and Jake Locker are gone... I say trade down to the low 1st rounds (maybe two picks) and select at least one OL... maybe two...
Se7en 8te N9ne
Great news; we get decent deep coverage and Landry gets to hit people!

Well, we don't play Cover 2, so we'll see how this goes. We play some Cover 2/4 but we're just not good at it. Landry didn't get beat when he was playing single deep FS in Cover 1/3 he was beat playing Cover 2/4. BTW-Reed Doughty is playing FS not Moore
Springfield
I think Doughty is playing FS. Looks like my original OP was correct. I thought that's what Cerrato said but I couldn't remember. Another poster said Moore would be playing FS and somebody also tweeted it. For the record: My original OP had Doughty at FS. blue collar
He can hit, but sucks in coverage. I'll give you two guesses but you'll only need one.

Teller
He can't even hit. He usually gives up 10-12 extra yards when he goes for the blow up shot. He reminds me of the old Garbage Pail Kids cards. He'd be "Receiver's Gone Laron."
aarobinson
I knew he'd be equally miserable at SS. SS have to cover, too, and his coverage skills are piss. I dont think there's a position on the field for this guy, unless maybe he put on 20 pounds and learned to play linebacker. But even then, he'd have to learn how to tackle.
