IbleedBnG83
Who cares about nick names. The Colts, Giants, and Patriots in the last few years have all won championships without any knick names. I would rather have one of those any day. Knick names are for the papers and kids.
GibbsLombardi
We should call them "Chopped Liver" since no one gives them the respect they deserve.

NoVaSkins21
I would call the defense the "better half."
AAARedskin
Teams that ARE NOT playoff teams don't deserve nicknames. Nicknames are set aside for WINNING teams.....not 8-8 teams. The 'Dirtbags?" Please.....tell me another joke.
Peregrine
My name for the defense is "London Fletcher"
SKOALSKIN
Nicknames are earned from historic accomplishments. i.e. "steel curtain", "Monsters of the Midway", "the New York Sack Exchange", "Orange Crush", "The purple people Eaters", "Gang Green". So what have the skins done to earn any sort of recognizable name?
Passizle
For last year? Easy. "Fourth Quarter Flounders"
Passizle
This year looks good on paper... but I have seen that before. Prove it on the field!
BAFGA
In order to earn a nickname, they should probably accomplish something first, like getting into the playoffs, or winning a playoff game. End the thread now. Nothing more needs to be said.

PROSCOUT
usually it doesn't work when you find a name for something based on nothing. Why don't we see what they have in pre season games and let any kind of name develop from there.
ThePreciating
I thought Department of Defense was pretty good. After all, if Albert Haynesworth isn't change you can believe in, I don't know what is.

mel25
when d. hall got here, smoot said the name of the secondary should be "the league of extraordinary gentlemen." i know you said the entire defense, but i thought that name was tight.

NewCliche21
Nicknames happen because they're supposed to. They just come up; nobody GIVES them at all. No unit deserves a nickname on this team right now or else they'd have one. Now that I think of it, what nicknames does ANY team have anymore?
