It'll be interesting to see how they finish up They don't have a prayer. They'll finish 0-2 and I'd venture a guess that the total scores in those games will add up to Montreal being outscored roughly 12-2, and I'm being very generous there. Without their best player in Markov, and arguably their 2nd best player in Schneider, they are justing waiting to be destroyed. Boston will kill them because they want to see them in the first round, and Pittsburgh will kill them in an effort to get to the 5th seed. I hope we have the chance to repay Florida for last season by helping them get into the playoffs over the Habs, but they have to win their next game to even have a chance. Florida would be a much tougher matchup for Boston than Montreal.I don't normally suggest tanking a game, but I too would like to see us help FLA clinch the 8th spot. Boston struggles against teams like us and FLA. As tough as it is for me to say though, I think CAR is the best team in the East right now. The way Cam Ward is playing, and with Cole and Staal putting up those numbers, CAR will be a tough out for ANYBODY. The kid is going to be ridiculous he's going to be a great goaltender for our team in the future. One thing that you always will hear about him is how athletic he is. He can really pounce across from one side of the net to the other. He plays really aggressively and cuts of the angle. Its a damn good thing he can get across the net quickly with that kind of play style because it does open up the back door if he can't make it over to cover the pass.
