Rumrunner6900
12Z EURO just came in. Major East Coast Snowstorm. Sure is purdy to look at ain't it? It seems to me that models in agreement is when it is time to get a bit excited.

DButz65
How could the weather channel not be gettin this right? Is it going to snow or is it not? lol
CPortJGibbs89
Accuweather has a weather advisory up for my area. They are calling for 1-2 inches tomorrow afternoon, an inch overnight and an inch on Monday. Dont think we will see anything but rain since thats all we have gotten this winter but I will cross my fingers for one last storm.
Mark The Homer
How could the weather channel not be gettin this right? Is it going to snow or is it not? lol Apparently the weather channel sucks. This is what I've learned from the weather experts here on ES. But I do know the wtc only updates 3x a day - around 5 AM, around 3:15 PM and around 11 PM. Sticksboi05
http://www.wtop.com/?nid=7WTOP callin for 70 percent chance sunday night. No, that's just taken directly from the NWS. Anyway, if the models hold steady till tonight, expect Winter Storm Warnings.
mbws
:yikes:So what you're telling me is, there's free porn on the internet? Rince, why didn't you tell me sooner? This could seriously impact my time on ES. :cool2: Nah, after 40-50 seconds you'll be back :hysterical:

grhqofb5
Rule for this thread: NO QUOTING OF THE WEATHER CHANNEL Seriously. their forecasts change with every model run verbatim so stop saying "oh well on TWC, it says rain, or it says snow showers". They are not involved here. I think some guy in the other thread actually thought TWC puts out WSW's. Anyway, if this thing does in fact hit which is looking pretty likely at this point, get ready to plow and shovel. Why do you hate the weather channel so much? Do you work for Bob Ryan? VASkins540
Spring break a week early fail it is our exam week here at ODU. Exam week = fail Seriously though, it would snow during spring break. The last time we had any significant accumulation they closed down campus 15 minutes after my last class. Sticksboi05
TWC, Accuweather etc. Their alerts needn't be looked at because they are inaccurate. The Accuweather Weather Alarm, don't look at it. The Accuweather website is much better than TWC though. I don't dislike TWC, I just know that quoting it as of now is pointless. They aren't going to go either way because if they say one thing, the people on here who think what TWC says is what happens will be mad if it in fact doesn't happen. The fact that the TWC says snow showers Monday means absolutely nothing and the fact that the storm system to our south as of now is bringing rain doesn't matter either because a different system will work its way up the coast tomorrow. Mark The Homer
Listen up, kids:SOMEONE in the D.C./Baltimore/Richmond corridor is going to get a foot of snow. Hmm. Well, the way it's tracking, if someone gets a foot, everyone is going to get a lot.Edit: That's in my unschooled opinion

Mark The Homer
Apparently the general public is aware of the coming storm. My wife just got back from the Safeway. She says the lot was jammed, the milk shelf is getting bare - she found a half gallon but the gallons were already gone. Lines at the register were 8 deep and growing - already extending into the food aisles.

Springfield
Just because there was an entirely new thread on this particular storm means that there will be no snow. You guys really jinxed the **** out of this storm. Way to go!

jnhay
why do people feel that they need to buy milk before a storm? I was just about to ask that. I guess it's a multi-purpose item, but people act like they'll be stuck inside for a week every time.
