SUSkinsFan
Both of those things have been answered in the past. I'll give you the Cliff Notes of the Reader's Digest version and let you do the search for the posts I've made previously defending the comments.New England's entire franchise is based on the concept of Socialism and acceptance of the nearly-Communist New Era NFL that was put in place in 1994 by the former Commissioner of the league. Nothing that comes out of a Socialist concept can ever be great in my mind because Socialism as a concept is anti-thetical to greatness. Joe Gibbs made the worst mistake of his life when he returned to the NFL after more than a decade of retirement. The last three seasons (and likely this one as well) will have done nothing but tarnish his reputation, legacy, records, etc... If my math and future predictions are correct, he'll have less than a .600 winning percentage when he eventually re-retires, which will make him inelligible for the HOF so far as I'm concerned. I've commented much more extensively on these two topics in the past. Search for posts by me with the word "Patriots" of "Gibbs" in them and you should find them fairly readily. That is one of the funniest posts I have ever read. The Patriots do not do anything that every other team in the league does not do, the only difference is they do it very successfully, so by your argument you should completely shun the entire NFL. Regardless of any mistakes Gibbs may have made by coming back, his accomplisments from the 80's and 90's more then warrant a spot in the HOF. artmonkforHOF
The Padres never getting any help for Tony Gwynn for more than 1 season. The Strike of 1994- Gwynn chasing .400, Matt Williams for the HR record, the Expos having a chance to win it all (all National fans owe Bud a big thank you for that one). Carl Lewis' "missed" drug test in the 1988 Olympics. That guy who was attacked by some fan while running the marathon at the Olympics. ART MONK NOT BEING IN THE HALL OF FAME. SkinFaninOKC
I'm gonna go with Alstott didn't get in. My choice too!!! Even if it was redeemed later that year. Kept us from a home game. Not THAT I would have been able to go.
codeorama
I definately agree with Marino and Sanders both being "shafted" from their teams.... The Dolphins and Lions sucked at surrounding them with talent. Marino never had a decent defense or running game to help him. Sanders never had an O line or Qback to help him. Henry
I know it's not an all-time injustice or anything, but I still haven't quite gotten over the flag on the go-ahead TD against the Packers in '04. I don't follow Basketball anymore, but I feel a little for the basketball greats who never won a championship during the Jordan years. Guys like Stockton and Malone, Barkley, Ewing ... Must have sucked seeing your prime slip away while trying to get past arguably the greatest player in the history of your sport.

The Packers win over the Skins from '04 should be on there. NO WAY Portis moved on that TD pass.

I wouldnt say it was an injustice, but fans being robbed of seeing Len Bias play is a tragedy. Dont do drugs kids.
Henry
Here it is, from the top 11 tainted sports accomplishments... Let's also not forget that on the VERY NEXT PLAY, Rod Gardner was held, no flag was thrown, and the ball intended for him was intercepted. Maybe we would have lost that game anyway, but rarely have I seen the refs so single-handedly change a game like that. And we really didn't need it that year. Bah. I have to stop thinking about it now.
rincewind
yes he did. the flag was on thrash for not getting set. Okay, I knew Portis was involved. Don't have all the brain cells I used to, ya know? I did remember it was for 'not being set'.
Heidenreich
When the Utah Jazz was robbed by the refs several time during the 97 finals. The NBA gave the bulls that championship. Now, people are just figuring out the NBA is rigged. Worse was the 2002 Western Conference Finals between the Lakers & Sacramento. Never in my life have I seen a worse officiated game. 3. The lack of NHL coverage on ESPN. You can blame Gary Bettman for that. They took the money from the OUTDOOR LIFE NETWORK after the lockout. ESPN would show hockey every night, now you're lucky to see hockey once a week. Instead, ESPN shows Rock, paper, scissors or poker, or WNBA. Ewing should have hit that fingeroll (or dunked it like a man) against the Pacers in 95. I'm not bitter or nothing.....

rdsknbill
Bo Jackson suffering a career ending injury. One of the greatest athletes ever. This is SkinsBry: I totally agree with you. I he would've had a full career, he'd be known as one of the best athletes of our time. He would've given M.J. a run for his money as best of the century. Thiebear
Monk not in the hall. The guy that created the stuff, the trainer and Bonds admitting he took it (but he said he didnt know ahahahahhahahhahahhahaha) and still given Hanks record. The officiating crew that screwed up the coin toss and the touchdown that was a yard short causing teams to miss the playoffs and others to go when shouldnt. Brunell playing while the fans screamed for mercy last year. The wussification of the NFL.
