Last week's Zorn show. Sonny said "for the first time ever" you guys wore burgundy on burgundy. Basically what was that all about? George Michael added that we looked like some North Texas college team or something.

Zorn explained that a couple players (26, 89) wanted it and he asked the captains and they didn't care. "So I didn't care." Then he asked Sonny if he had a problem with it.

And Sonny without hesitation said "YES, I do." And then got a little serious as he said we have 3 superbowl trophies and in none of those pictures will you see burgundy on burgundy.

Zorn kind of smirked and then they moved on to something else.

I hate white on white. We look like the Cleveland Browns (as someone else on this board has mentioned in the past). Burgundy/burgundy made us look like Virginia Tech...:rolleyes:

My time of "growing up" with the Redskins started when we moved to DC in 1982. For me it will always be the white jersey and the burgundy pants.

What was the diesel wearing when he steamrolled to that touchdown in 17?

What was Doug Williams wearing when he lit up the Broncos in 22?

What was Mark Rypien wearing when he grabbed the MVP for 26?

Need I say more?

Does anyone know what uniforms we will be wearing against Dallas? I hope we wear the burgundy on burgundy. Uniforms have nothing to do with the play, so I hope we weer those again.

TK and other mods are not going to be very happy that you started this thread. Just a heads up.

It was brought up again on this week's show, and Coach Z said the decision on pants was and will be left up to the players.

He eluded to the fact that everything else was so predecided/restricted, that he had no problems letting the Team choose Their pants color.

I loved the burgundy on burgundy.

Wayy better than the overdone white on white look. I'm soo sick of seeing white jerseys week after week.

You must also be sick of winning.

Hey, I'm not saying we win because of the white on whites, but they sure have been a good luck charm over the last 3 years or so.

Yeah, I just watched that. That's too bad, really. I guess we can hope that the players have enough taste to realize how awful they looked on that Monday night.
