  1. Is it too early to start day-drinking? (he says after cracking open his second IPA since 12:00) 👍👍 🍺 🍻
  2. TD, this is one of the absolute best posts I've seen on this board regarding the name change and the organization's response to it. Very well said.
  3. Yes, me too. Arm, guts, and mobility are all strengths of his. If he were 2-3 inches taller we wouldn't be having this discussion right now because he would have been drafted by someone in the (at worst) second round this past draft.
  4. Same as us wasting the #19 overall draft pick last year (J Davis) on an outside linebacker and playing him at middle linebacker. Actually the Davis pick was even worse. WJ3 only cost the team money. The Davis reach cost us a premium draft pick.
  5. It was on Amazon Prime (exclusively), like all of the remaining Thursday night games.
  6. This is officially my favorite post of all time on this board.
  7. That muffed punt just cost us about 5 draft positions next April.
  8. My god this game is setting back professional football 50 years.
  9. Wondering how you're highly confident in Doofus Dan doing anything that would be considered to be intelligent, based on a quarter century of previous history.
  10. Agree with every bit of this... I'm a UNC alum, and watched literally every snap Howell played in his three years at Carolina... He's one of the toughest SOB's I've ever seen at the QB position (hell, any position really), and has the leadership intangibles that you want too. If we lose Thursday night, I'd be all for pulling the plug on Carson and saving that 2nd round pick and seeing what we have with Howell.
  11. I love Payton and would take him in a heartbeat, but I don't think he'd take $25 million a year of Danny-boy's money to come coach here. He'll have a half-dozen better options to pick from.
  12. Will be there with my son and will be met there by some friends (Eagle fans, but they're good peeps and will enjoy the hospitality and behave themselves) 🤪 I'll have grill space if anyone needs it, and will have, at a minumum, the following: Burgers Brats Buns Paper products (plates, towels, bowls) Chips & Salsa #HTTR
  13. Agreed. Vikings were bad all over the place last night. But internally the Vikings have been comparing him favorably to one Trent Williams. Now no one is saying at this point that he is going to end up that good, but is anyone at all comparing Jamin to the likes of Bobby Wagner or Darius Leonard (i.e. one of the best players in the NFL at his position)?
  14. We could and should have Darrisaw and JOK instead of Jamin and Cosmi... tell me you wouldn't make that swap in a new york minute... sigh
  15. You’ve clearly proven your intelligence… well done
  16. Yes, that's correct. BOTH were analytically the correct calls, and (as 2-pointers are basically a 50/50 proposition anyway), we made one 2 pt-er and missed one. The true killer was the missed PAT by Slye on the TD that cut it to 36-27. If he makes that kick, after we get the ball back with 1:35 left, we are down 8 instead of 9, clearly a HUGE difference. Ahead by only 8, maybe Detroit doesn't pin their ears back completely and come after the QB, knowing that they could still be tied by a TD and 2 pt-er. Up 9, there was really no downside to sending the cavalry after him. (And in the process injuring our starting center...) Getting pissed all over again just thinking about that PAT miss...
  17. You are misremembering for sure. The 2 point conversion when it was 29-21 is the one people are freaking out over. We were down by 14, at 29-15, because of the (yet again, analytically sound) decision Ron made to go for two when we were down 22-7, scored that TD (the one where Samuels got JACKED UP, but to his credit still caught the ball). Then, after we gave up the pathetic TD to Swift (the one where he literally fell down on the field, got back up, and still scored without being even touched by anyone), we scored again, quickly, to cut the 29-15 lead to 29-21. Ron went for two there (analytically the CORRECT call), but missed it, leaving us down by 8 at 29-21. Then we gave up yet another TD to Detroit, to increase the lead to 36-21 (still a two score game). We then came back and scored (but took WAY to freaking long after running Gibson into a brick wall TWICE inside the 2 yard line), and at that point, down 36-27, only needed our idiot kicker to make the PAT to cut it back to an 8-point (and thus, a ONE score) game.
