Not sure I see your point here... they DO have CMC in that offense, because they are intelligent, aggressive, and accomplished football people who made a deal to get what was basically their last remaining piece to being yet again a Super Bowl team, even with a 3rd string rookie QB. This is what great organizations do. Maybe one day before we die we'll get to see it again in Washington...

Indeed it was. Smoked GB 42-24 (that was the year of the infamous "Dancing Snyder" video, that f-ing dip****...) Went into the Giants game, AT HOME, at 8-6-1, just needing a win to clinch a wild-card berth, against a Giants team that had already clinched their playoff spot and had literally nothing to play for. And Cousins pissed down his leg, and lost 19-10 in that game... at that point, I was okay with him leaving, although I wish Brucifer had been smart enough to get something more than a compensatory third round pick after he left.

Yes, we know. Likely the most important regular season game for this franchise since the season-ending 2016 game against (ironically) the Giants, when they already had clinched a playoff spot, weren't playing their best players, and still beat our team led by "Kurt" Cousins. The beginning of the end of the Cousins era in DC

Call me crazy but I'd rather be the 7 seed and go to Minnesota than have to go to San Fran or Tampa as a 5 or 6-seed. Would rather play against Kurt Cuddins than against Brady or the Niners.

What about that Minny game week before last, and how they've played (and gotten smashed since) makes you think we wouldn't have a chance in a rematch against them? I guarantee you that Minny wants no part of a 7-seed Skins team in the wild card round.

Former Washington Great Dave Butz passed away at age 72

Damn, this sucks to hear. Truly one of the unsung heroes of the great 80's teams. When I first started my Skins fandom when I was about 8-10 (1979-81 range), I almost thought that "Dave" was his middle name, because I always remember him being referred to a "BIG Dave Butz". I can remember Pat Summerall referring to him this way just like it was yesterday. RIP and condolences to his family. ☹️ -
