    The 2011 Washington Redskins with Rex Grossman dispatched Seattle in Seattle. Arizona has been the only team to do it since and they did it yesterday. Sad how far this team has fallen.

      Bottom line, you need a roof of some type to generate as much sound as Seattle does. They get mad whenver you point this out, but it's the truth. That stadium design is a 1/3 of their sound or more.

    Watching Skins pregame. What's the deal with practicing in the bubble just because of cold weather? I thought it was meant to be used for snow only? At what point does not practicing outside contribute to lack of mental toughness on game day?

    This was a MUST win game. Yet we can't convert with a healthier roster than we had last season's 10-6 team? This is all on the coaches.

      NO. he instilled a losing mentality by preaching that "it was going to take a long time", to fix this team. I can give you a long list of losers that turned things around immediately with a new coach. Shanahan is just a loser who got fired by Denver after winning 2 SB with John Elway. and that's it. Denver realized the change needed, and we got the Haynesworth Hype again with this hiring of Shanahan.

    11-5 needs to be the expectation. Easy schedule the rest of the season including 3 games against cupcakes Minnesota and the Giants. Unfortunately we have likely lost home field advantage to Seattle...but if we can win at least one playoff game this year then Shanahan should keep his job as a sign of our progression from last season..

      Yes rabid - really and really - The stats do speak for themselves. I don't see anywhere that I said we were better off right now on D. But there are reasons outside of shannys controls that have contributed. Also, the point I was making to mike is that his examples of quick improving teams all already had most of the key skill positions in place. Where is the data wrong? All those are facts.

      rabid - Here is a question for you, why use pts allowed for shinny (which I agree) but not for the 3 previous years? In fact, only in 2008 was the D a "top 10" D in pts allowed. In fact in 2009, the year before shanny took over it was 18th, only a few spots better then the last 3 yrs when it was 21, 21, and 22 respectively. So while there has been no real improvement, until this year it has not been the colossal backslide you are suggesting either.
