  1. No, the sanctions were to tell Russia it needed to not invade, and then end the invasion immediately, and that the destruction caused by the sanctions would be based on how much destruction Russia caused. As Russia has decided to go further and further into this they blitzed past where those sanctions can be lifted for years. Any letting Russia withdraw tomorrow, and then lifting the sanctions before it truly crippling the current Russian state would be selling out the entire world to a bleak future. The rest of the world lacking backbone is the ONLY thing Putin is counting on at this point. Russia as it currently exists, can no longer be part of this world. Most everyone sees that. Fail to cause major nation state change in the coming years in Russia and the world will most likely end up in a nuclear holocaust within a decade. Any people who would subject the world earth to the threat of complete destruction if they are not allowed to murder as many women and children as they like are not fit to be part of this earth and have no place here.
  2. LOL, at this point Lichtenstein is thinking "We can take 'em" I also love the "Dont sanction us because its worthy of war" and "Sanctions did nothing, didnt effect us at all" contradictions they have been sending out.
  3. Wow, they cut Ioannidis? Was there a bad former Panthers DT that became available? So they've given up their #3 and #4 players from the teams one strong position. Now they have to replace Ioannidis 55% of snaps last season, as a good DT. Ron seems to be getting closer to his end goal of truly recreating his perennial 7-9 panthers.
  4. Washington did indeed lose a 3rd, it was the 2nd rounders that was swapped. In the end, we will find out if A. The FO and Ron have any idea what they are doing and B. If QB really does make up for as much of the roster as people think it does. Because this team appears to count on the QB play being so much better and players who didnt play well all of the sudden being better.
  5. What in the world are you talking about? Im not a conservative. Are you so politically biased??? You come into and throw in comments saying the USA is basically Russia in a thread having nothing to do with it because you cant distinguish between actual brainwashing and people who get to vote and have a say hijacking a Ukraine thread where you just have to get your political barb in every moment of every miserable day of yours? Not everyone that questions you is just your political opponent, wow
  6. So what you are saying is that someone attempted to brainwash people, and instead they voted against that and didnt fall for it and elected another leader, and thats like Russia? Weird take to throw into a thread that has nothing to do with it.
  7. So Biden said all of that(I dont remember it) but brainwashed people voted for him anyway? Weird take
  8. Russia: "Guys, you wont believe this, but like all other big countries on the planet Ukraine has a biological research facility! Thats dangerous, believe us! What kind of fools develop a facility to research biology and/or any pathogens some crazy Soviet wannabes might use against the rather than just letting it happen?" Also Russia: "Guys, Ukraine is preparing to send a virus through bats that might infect a lot of people! We must stop them before such a crazy thing happens and its too late!"
  9. True, but then it should probably give you pause about how much effort hes gonna give if he has no interest in signing with you
  10. The biggest issue is the team just gave up a 3rd and 2nd next year, for a guy they could have signed for free when they cut him. And paid him 28 million instead of 10 million, and left the team with no cap space to improve other areas. Basically the usual from this FO, throw extra money and picks around and end up with your high earners being players like Collins and Samuel.
  11. Watson and Dan would be a match made in heaven(hell). A great way to say "We're listening" and "we've changed" is to take a franchise that has sexual assault scandals through the roof and now add a franchise QB with an alleged 22 sexual assaults. Guaranteed he did it. No way you find 22 people accusing someone whos a boyscout. Plus, what you morality free fools dont realize is THIS WONT BE HIS LAST TIME. The idea that once the past becomes scrubbed free the future will be perfect is insane. He did this, systematically, over many years. If he gets off, hes going to think hes invincible, and he will be in trouble again shortly. Its insane to me how some of you dont realize that, especially considering this franchise has had the GREATEST example of that for the past 20 years in Dan "I changed JK I didnt" Snyder.
  12. Good point and I dont think anyone believes anything from Russia at this point but the shills. Any "peace talks" "ceasefires" "whatever" are just lies and buying time and opportunity from the foolish who believe it. They will find it a great opportunity to start bombing once people congregate and then blame it on Ukranian military for breaking it.
  13. I dont think theres anyway the main massive military incursion on the north is a planned diversion where they meant to bog down, die a lot, and not make much of any progress in 10 days. Its just so bad for Russia that it looks like they werent trying hard enough. The Russian army can not afford the losses they have taken in the north, they do not have enough fighting force to cover those losses in Ukraine, bring in more troops, and protect the east, Syria, and all of the immense other Russian borders. Make no mistake, Kyiv is their main goal because they foolishly thing they can "cut off the head of the snake" there and be done. They arent equipped to occupy Ukraine unless the country just gives in and obeys. Which they are used to in Russia.
  14. If they build in VA, its got to be the Dulles location. It makes sense if you want to make it not just a stadium but an entertainment complex. You have to have quick metro access, major road access, and the location next to the airport for travelers is huge. If you are going to built it out of DC you are going to expect to lose some of the MD/DC crowd, so you have to make it as convenient as possible for everyone else to get to.
  15. Vox???????? And an opinion piece by the guy who was "confident that positive dialogue could commence with the Soviet government" and then was ditched by the USA 50 years before in 1948(Thats not a key role in containing the USSR until 1991), he wrote the NY Times article and still had a personal take in it? "a huge reason Russia is is invading Ukraine is to keep them from joining NATO." Thats not saying its just "a factor" here. Congratulations on finding 3 people who agree with you, Putin can find many many more, but it doesnt make him right. Its absolutely absurd to try and blame NATO for not perfectly playing a nation who has literally tried to take over much of the world multiple times in just the last 100 years and does not actually believe that NATO is a threat to invade them, which you naively seem to think. Putin would have invaded Ukraine before this had NATO not been involved. Nato and its expansions have had nothing to do with Russian aggression and murder, just when Putin could time it.
  16. Putin is not invading Ukraine to keep them out of NATO, hes invading them because he wants Ukraine and always has. Its very clear that A. Putin wants to recreate soviet glory and sees that as his mission, and as he nears the final years of his life and any ability to do that(and could very well have lost some of his mental facilities at his age), and B. Putin had no designs to stop after Ukraine. The absolute absurdity of suggesting that its reasonable or rational to say "They are only getting invaded because they wanted to join the defense pact that would keep them from being invaded, how horrible of them to not want to be easier to invade from the guy who invaded them already". If a crazy psycho evil dicatator who knowningly lies about almost everything he says, says something, and you parrot the same thing, you seriously need to rethink your position and what side you are on.
  17. This is what he came up with? "No doubt, Putin will press for demilitarization in Ukraine, and it will be a non-starter for the Ukrainians. But they might well be willing to say once a peace is clearly established, they will accept limitations on the amount and types of weapons they will maintain, and will also agree not to have foreign forces based in Ukraine. Hedges should be built in if there is an external threat to Ukraine." Why WOULDNT Putin want that? Then he could demilitarize them, and invade them in 2 years when they now no longer have any way to defend themselves. It would be a death sentence for Ukraine to agree to that, its insane.
  18. Im not so sure they like how its going. Russia is kind of Chinas biggest ally, and vice versa. China plays Russia, for sure, but I think they view Russia(who is their neighbor) as the other maligned country by the west and the only one with real power who would fight back against them. Russia is one of the few true dictatorships out there that are like China. Its not that China wants Russia to be big and powerful and successful. China just cares about China. They dont want Russia or anyone else to get powerful enough to oppose them. But they dislike the west more, and they likely view Russia as the country big and "scary" enough to be a useful ally, but one that is horribly run and so easy for them to roll over in a heartbeat if they ever had a need to. Russia is the level of big and incompetent that China like, and something changing that status quo isnt good for China.
  19. Belarus and Russia certainly do not view this meeting as legit. And Ukraine aren't foolish enough to either. They know full well its a fake attempt to divert attention and buy time as Russia attempts to step up the war.
  20. For the record, I dont support sending in troops at all, and the Ukranians are 10 times as motivated as a bunch of ill trained Russian teenagers, so you dont need to. But they need supplies and weapon systems capable of dealing with the biggest Russian threats, and most importantly they need intel(im convinced they are getting fed Russian movements and why ambushes have been so effective). If you havent paid attention to your history, and to who Putin is and his current rhetoric, he will NOT stop at Ukraine. This was a first step to test the international community and he took a literal page out of Hitlers book expecting countries to just let him do it to placate Russia. What he missed is, though he wants to recreate soviet russia in his final years as his final legacy, the world is now global and the global population is forcing their governments to respond more strongly than they would, because when you have a global world you have a personal world, and the conflict hits home for all of us. Im not sure theres too many of us around this area that doesnt know someone who are Ukranian, or still have family in Ukraine, and have seen the posts on twitter, Reddit, social media from real people living inside of it. Putin does not understand this, and it will be his downfall more than anything else, no matter how the next week plays out.
  21. I think some of you are very naive on the "wont Russia know we sent support etc" front. Putin and his allies have been lying about things for a long time and we and everyone else in the world has known that. Lets not naively believe we have some weird obligation to be truthful to a murderous dictator to his benefit. The giving of aid, finances, munitions and even combatants etc and whether its "too far" has nothing to do with whether Russia thinks we are, or are convinced we are, or whatever. What only matters, what has EVER only mattered in situations like that, and the reason Russia has gotten away with it for so long when its been blatant, is whether there is plausible deniability(no matter how absurd) and whether the international community believes it, cares about it, and would do anything about it. There is literally nothing Russia can do about it because as long as we dont cross obvious international law lines that the rest of the world cares about, based on Russias struggles against a country it should have wiped through on paper, they wouldnt have a chance. The last russian war was a fantastic example of that when Putin blatantly sent Russian troops over the border in fake uniforms and everyone in the world knew it, but he said "It wasnt us I swear guys".
  22. Yes, obviously. But Ron wanted a coach that embodied everything Ron loves about someone: Their Carolinaness. And Turner had the Carolinaness that KOC didnt. The fact of the matter is some of the very best offensive minds in the NFL all were coaching out of Ashburn, and we managed to find a way to keep none of them in the building despite people from around the league, hundreds of miles away seeing their value and offering them jobs. People who didnt know them very well valued them higher than the office that knew them very well. Its as simple as that. That tells you all you need to know about the "talent evaluators" here.
  23. The first 10 mistakes make the person human. The next 100 make him incompetent. Jason "Misdirection" Wright.
