  1. He’s a longtime solid starting backer. I would love to have him but the issue is I doubt he plays teams. His issue is that he missed nearly all of TC w a hammy injury. A potential move is signing him, IRing him and then activating him in the event an injury happens.
  2. Yep. Cosmi definitely moves outside if it happens. I am still holding out some hope that Jason Peters would want to come here. He must have had a tight relationship with Castillo to go to Chicago
  3. There were a few times he nearly muffed the ball from what I recall. My guess is that spooked them
  4. Letting Larsen go would be moronic. He has shown he is a solid backup center in this league with the ability to play guard for years. For a couple years in a row, this team has had to turn to its 3rd string center (4th string in 2021). There is no one behind Stromberg if they let Larsen go and Stromberg gets hurt. I really hope they can find a way to IR Daniels with something. I don’t care if it were to happen now (which would end his season) vs later (which may allow him to come back). The guy is useless to the team this year and needs to focus on building mass and improving his individual technique.
  5. I like depth on the interior and I like Lucas as the backup at tackle. The issue becomes if multiple tackles go down. That is a scary proposition.
  6. A nuance that is missing here is the level of weed usage. As others have referenced, a lot of people use a modicum of weed for different purposes. I take an edible once a week to reset my sleep schedule and days before I need to wake up early because it is a better alternative than taking something like Zzzquill. Most of the time, the next day, while I may have some hangover symptoms, I am able to wake up early and, with some espresso, be very productive. On the other hand, you have the heavy users who are either taking up to medical grade doses in chunks or are using it throughout the day. I am now hearing from a couple plugged in folks (not just one) that, if there were a scale, Chase is very likely closer to the latter vs the former.
  7. The hidden miss was taking Daniels instead of Carter Warren. Given his experience, frame and length, Warren is a guy you were more likely to count on as a 4th tackle at the minimum.
  8. Danny Johnson is one of the most underrated players on D. Whenever he gets to play, he seems to make at least one notable play a game and he proved last year that he can play on the outside. He’s a guy who has been taken for granted for years and he finds a way to stay on the roster due to his versatility (including as a returner), his valedictorian brain and his work ethic
  9. Can you think of a backup tackle who would be an upgrade to start over the $8M a year guy who could be on the block? If you think of one, it is more likely than not that that team is not going to let that depth go. Legit NFL starting OTs are not sitting on benches and this position has the worst depth in the league outside of QBs.
  10. Josh has a lot going on now. He is apparently trying to recreate the Apollo business model on his own and that includes the creation of a captive insurance company whose capital the asset manager would manage. It would not surprise me if he has delegated a lot of the on the ground stuff to Mark Ein and Rales
  11. I can’t think of a team that would currently trade a starting tackle who would be an upgrade. These guys only seem to get moved when they are disgruntled.
  12. Jamin did not have the starting DL in front if him. If he is invisible w them out there, I’ll be worried
  13. Agreed. I am of the belief that when you draft, you want your draft picks to have a strong line of sight to making the roster as well. This is why I never understood drafting both Henry and Jones given the depth we already have at the position. I get that all those guys are FAs after next year; however, you can just draft another reserve EDGE next year if depth is an issue. Given the lack of depth at off ball LB, I was disappointed they didn't take Pace or Soelle. Both those guys would have had a very good chance of making the roster and upgrading the depth.
  14. They are using a new org chart where they are having the veteran position coaches serve as a mid level managers and having them oversee more. Castillo is the TE coach but OL also rolls up to him on the org chart. This apparently is what KC does. Jason Peters is still out there and has played for Castillo with the Eagles and with the Bears. At his age, his days as a full time starter are over. However, he was good last year as a part time player for the Cowboys who played both tackle and guard. The thing with him is be probably does not want to do training camp and is likely waiting after it ends to go sign with a team. If he takes half the snaps at RT and plays a bit of guard, that would be very helpful here. Allows you to then IR Daniels.
  15. Ta'amu would easily be a better 3rd QB than Fromm and has been with EB twice in KC. He knows the system and offers a whole hell of a lot more.
  16. They may just have to start Lucas at RT and play Wylie at LG. Leno/Wylie/Gates/Cosmi/Lucas is your best 5. The scary thing is there is no tackle depth behind Lucas - you'd have to move either Cosmi or Wylie to tackle if Lucas were to get hurt.
  17. If you IR him now, you can't recall him for later in the season. If it came to it, would have to wait until after cutdown day to IR him and then resign a guy you cut
  18. He can't get sent down. He will have to be DFAed
  19. Caught up with one of my best friends over the weekend. We were catching up regarding a mutual friend I lost touch with but he has kept up with. Said friend used to work closely with Josh Harris and Marc Rowan at Apollo. My friend told me that this friend told him that Josh Harris was a control freak and a bit of a bully to work with. A core underlying reason why Harris lets his GMs and coaches generally do their thing is because he is busy trying to start a new version of Apollo (which includes starting a captive insurance outfit)
  20. I wanted to dislike her because she was a Tanya hire and Cooley departed shortly after she was hired. However, Logan Paulsen has really gotten his chance under her tenure and he’s fantastic. You are right - these videos they have been putting out there have been fantastic as well
  21. Random thought: I wish this team had traded the 2nd round pick + the 3rd round comp pick and moved up to take Bergeron.
  22. Being based in Miami now, I am likely going travel to Tampa to catch one of the games in the upcoming series
  23. I don’t think anyone on this board loved the Phil pick. It was a reach first of all and was forced because they screwed up their planning for depth. Truth be told, I wanted Brisker or a LB as that was a LB heavy draft (imagine a 2nd year Troy Andersen running w Jamin - would’ve been the most athletic LB duo in the league) If we were to redraft, I bet many here would have taken Parham, Lucas or Fortner
