  1. Agreed. He is not a vested veteran meaning we can claim him on waivers if he makes it to us. IR Hodges and get Albert O on the roster. Can keep Armah on PS and call him up as needed They are giving the job to their 4th round pick Charlie Jones. Taylor is an alum of the Louisiana Tech program, which this staff loves
  2. Hoping they give him returner reps. Apparently Kaz being on the roster blocked him from getting those reps
  3. Pure slot CB. Likely going to PS and getting called up if a CB goes down
  4. There is a chance. Apparently, he could be a major asset on teams given his size. As a few others have said, hope they can develop him into a TE. He has the intelligence for it being a Stanford guy
  5. Gore is making it over JP on the PS. The Wapo article implied JP was last on the depth chart
  6. It matters. If Howell or Brissett go down, you don’t want a Garrett Gilbert situation where you bring in a guy who doesn’t know the offense
  7. I totally agree. I remember both of us wondering why they weren’t looking at others like Ta’amu instead of Fromm. He must have showed well in practice and the QB room last year with that carrying over to this year. He’s a PS guy you can protect.
  8. Yep. Someone would have to be on the roster post cuts before getting IR’d.
  9. Means someone is making the roster and getting IR’d asap
  10. Given that there are more veteran and better guys who got cut such as McCoy and Walker, doubt they are worried about losing Fromm. Yes, his preseason tape was good but his most previous regular season tape in 2021 was one of the worst QB performances I have ever seen.
  11. I was including Obada as DE. Fair point on him and JSW being able to do both. Paulsen was saying that, while there has been incremental improvement, WBK is not that different from last year. I doubt they are worried he gets picked up off PS.
  12. He is completely washed. Hoped the change in scenery with the Browns would help him but he still sucked. I wonder what happened as it doesn’t seem like it was injury. May just be a guy who stopped trying after getting the big contract Of all players cut thus far who I am aware of, Kirksey is the guy who I think would really help. With Jamin’s situation and Barton’s slow progression, he would be nice insurance. They can start with him on IR due to his hamstring as well.
  13. Agreed. The guy is a true football player. It’s just a shame he does not have the speed you would want for a guy his size
  14. Yep. Mayock would get the reins back Day 3 apparently where they ended up with guys like Renfrow and Crosby
  15. He’s a longtime solid starting backer. I would love to have him but the issue is I doubt he plays teams. His issue is that he missed nearly all of TC w a hammy injury. A potential move is signing him, IRing him and then activating him in the event an injury happens.
  16. Yep. Cosmi definitely moves outside if it happens. I am still holding out some hope that Jason Peters would want to come here. He must have had a tight relationship with Castillo to go to Chicago
  17. There were a few times he nearly muffed the ball from what I recall. My guess is that spooked them
  18. Letting Larsen go would be moronic. He has shown he is a solid backup center in this league with the ability to play guard for years. For a couple years in a row, this team has had to turn to its 3rd string center (4th string in 2021). There is no one behind Stromberg if they let Larsen go and Stromberg gets hurt. I really hope they can find a way to IR Daniels with something. I don’t care if it were to happen now (which would end his season) vs later (which may allow him to come back). The guy is useless to the team this year and needs to focus on building mass and improving his individual technique.
  19. I like depth on the interior and I like Lucas as the backup at tackle. The issue becomes if multiple tackles go down. That is a scary proposition.
  20. A nuance that is missing here is the level of weed usage. As others have referenced, a lot of people use a modicum of weed for different purposes. I take an edible once a week to reset my sleep schedule and days before I need to wake up early because it is a better alternative than taking something like Zzzquill. Most of the time, the next day, while I may have some hangover symptoms, I am able to wake up early and, with some espresso, be very productive. On the other hand, you have the heavy users who are either taking up to medical grade doses in chunks or are using it throughout the day. I am now hearing from a couple plugged in folks (not just one) that, if there were a scale, Chase is very likely closer to the latter vs the former.
  21. The hidden miss was taking Daniels instead of Carter Warren. Given his experience, frame and length, Warren is a guy you were more likely to count on as a 4th tackle at the minimum.
  22. Danny Johnson is one of the most underrated players on D. Whenever he gets to play, he seems to make at least one notable play a game and he proved last year that he can play on the outside. He’s a guy who has been taken for granted for years and he finds a way to stay on the roster due to his versatility (including as a returner), his valedictorian brain and his work ethic
  23. Can you think of a backup tackle who would be an upgrade to start over the $8M a year guy who could be on the block? If you think of one, it is more likely than not that that team is not going to let that depth go. Legit NFL starting OTs are not sitting on benches and this position has the worst depth in the league outside of QBs.
