Not a day goes by that I don't think of her so in her own way, she's always with me. You'll find that your Dad will always be there for you too. I'm so sorry for your loss. dchogs Posted February 2, 2005 Share Posted February 2, 2005 wow...i'm so sorry for your loss tc. my dad had some heart surgery at the beginning of the month, and the night before i started thinking about living my life without him. i almost couldn't bear the thought. like others have said, continue being the man he'd want you to be. i'm sure he was already proud as hell of you- just keep up that good work. The pain subsides, but you never really get over the loss because there's such an empty spot now, but you still have the memories, the sound of your Father's voice, the touch of his hand... hold on to those and your Family and you'll all get through this.
