As did Cloris Leachman Valerie Harper and Georgia Engle both died in 2019. Mary Tyler Moore died in 2017. Ted Knight died back in 1996. Betty White is pretty much the last one left from the Mary Tyler Moore show and she's 99.

Destino
His fame was mostly before my time but he had a unique voice that I would recognize instantly. Good luck to him in the adventures that await.

The Sisko
Ed Asner was an old guy when I was a kid, and that's been what, six or eight years ago now?😉 He had a hell of a career. I think the last thing I saw him in was Dead to Me on Netflix and he was great in that small role as well. RIP Lou.

goskins10
I grew up with him on the MTM show. One scene I will always remember - It may have been the first episode - Mary is getting pretty aggressive. He looks at her and says - "You have spunk!". She starts to say thank you, and he cuts her off and says "I hate spunk!". Set the tone for the whole show. Loved him in virtually every role he played. I remember him last in Royal Pains. Such a great actor but also an excellent humanitarian. He was a political activist before it was popular. It is believed that despite being a top 10 show, the Lou Grant show was cancelled because the network felt he was too far left and it came through the show. But he never backed away from his principals. He will be sorely missed! A truly great human being! Edited August 30, 2021 by goskins10
