Captain Wiggles
Quote He then pointed out that with money from the American Rescue Plan, Mayor John Giles of Mesa, Arizona “bought five new ambulances, hired behavioral health clinicians to help the fire department on crisis calls.” Ambulances, clinicians, and the fire department are now part of the police department? 🤭 Defund the police has always been a stupid slogan. Reallocation of municipal funds should still be the goal. Seems like Joe Biden understands that.

There is no such need, and history seems pretty clear that it's actually pretty good economics to run a deficit. (Although, granted, a smaller one that we've got.) Pyramid schemes also show a history of good economics... until they reach their end-state from borrowing more than they can grift from future investors. Discussing issues by tossing slogans and platitudes also tends to work, except when they don't. Tundra scout
The 71% of Americans in our latest NBC News poll saying the country is headed in the wrong direction is the eighth time in the last nine NBC News surveys dating back to Oct. 2021 when the wrong track has been above 70%. And the one exception was in Sept. 2022, when it was 68%. We have never before seen this level of sustained pessimism in the 30-year-plus history of the poll. https://notthebee.com/article/new-poll-shows-71-of-americans-think-the-country-is-on-the-wrong-track-and-im-surprised-the-number-isnt-even-higher

Tundra scout
Between October 1, 2022 and December 31, 2022, the U.S. Border Patrol's Swanton sector along the U.S.-Canada border recorded a 743 percent increase in apprehensions and encounters of illegal border crossings compared to the same timeframe in 2021, another result of President Joe Biden's open-border policies that have already brought chaos to the U.S.-Mexico border. https://townhall.com/tipsheet/spencerbrown/2023/01/30/illegal-border-crossings-spiked-743-from-canada-n2618898

LOL Please explain how more people being aprehended means the borders are in fact open? LOL Need to do a little deceminating of data to beter understand the 71%. For those that I know that are cocnered, it's directly caused by crazies like MGT and that idiot spekaer of the house and all thier MAGA cronies controling congress. Others are very concerned about the gerrymandering done by Republicans and the overly conservative SCOTUS who already ****ied with abortion. Seems like if people were not happy with the policies of Dems they would have voted them out. Still waiting for that red wave. In fact Rs can only lose 4 votes and keep thier majority. Someone else asked but I will ask again, what are the 3 policies from Biden that are leadsing to the concern for where America is gonig. Unemployment is down, inflation is subsiding, the federal deficit was cut in half and more. Here is a list of the top 23 accomplishments, although the Rs are already trying to block them - or take credit for them... LOL How is that MGT bill to stop Biden from sellnig Oil reserves, despite him maknig money of it, doing? LOL Historic defeat. Yea, people are not concerned becasue of Bidens policies they are concerned becasue the MAGA crazies have gotten a littel to close to power. Here are 23 of Joe Biden’s top accomplishments as president of the United States. 1. Passed the $1.2 trillion bipartisan infrastructure package to increase investment in the national network of bridges and roads, airports, public transport and national broadband internet, as well as waterways and energy systems. 2. Helped get more than 500 million life-saving COVID-19 vaccinations in the arms of Americans through the American Rescue Plan. 3. Stopped a 30-year streak of federal inaction on gun violence by signing the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act that created enhanced background checks, closed the “boyfriend” loophole and provided funds for youth mental health. 4. Made a $369 billion investment in climate change, the largest in American history, through the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022. 5. Ended the longest war in American history by pulling the troops out of Afghanistan. 6. Provided $10,000 to $20,000 in college debt relief to Americans with loans who make under $125,000 a year. 7. Cut child poverty in half through the American Rescue Plan. 8. Capped prescription drug prices at $2,000 per year for seniors on Medicare through the Inflation Reduction Act. 9. Passed the COVID-19 relief deal that provided payments of up to $1,400 to many struggling U.S. citizens while supporting renters and increasing unemployment benefits. 10. Achieved historically low unemployment rates after the pandemic caused them to skyrocket. 11. Imposed a 15% minimum corporate tax on some of the largest corporations in the country, ensuring that they pay their fair share, as part of the historic Inflation Reduction Act. 12. Recommitted America to the global fight against climate change by rejoining the Paris Agreement. 13. Strengthened the NATO alliance in support of Ukraine after the Russian invasion by endorsing the inclusion of world military powers Sweden and Finland. 14. Authorized the assassination of the Al Qaeda terrorist Ayman al-Zawahiri, who became head of the organization after the death of Osama bin Laden. 15. Gave Medicare the power to negotiate prescription drug prices through the Inflation Reduction Act while also reducing government health spending. 16. Held Vladimir Putin accountable for his invasion of Ukraine by imposing stiff economic sanctions. 17. Boosted the budget of the Internal Revenue Service by nearly $80 billion to reduce tax evasion and increase revenue. 18. Created more jobs in one year (6.6 million) than any other president in U.S. history. 19. Reduced healthcare premiums under the Affordable Care Act by $800 a year as part of the American Rescue Plan. 20. Signed the PACT Act to address service members’ exposure to burn pits and other toxins. 21. Signed the CHIPS and Science Act to strengthen American manufacturing and innovation. 22. Halted all federal executions after the previous administration reinstated them after a 17-year freeze.

It's almost like he's been a pretty damn good president under some tough circumstances.
