LadySkinsFan
I love The Cars, such a good band. I will be listening on my trip. We are getting older and losing our musically talented people. Thank goodness we have their music.
Riggo-toni
I had no idea he was that old. That means he was well into 30s before getting signed, and was in his forties when they had their biggest hits. Mostly I respect him because he was banging Paulina Poriskova.... Busch1724
Great band. Also put out a solid album in 2011. The first 4 songs are incredible.
Dan T.
The Cars were the best of the 80s new wave. One of my favorite misheard lyrics came from "Bye Bye Love." I always wondered how they got away with saying "It's just a f***ing alibi" ion the radio. Years later I learned the line was "It's just a broken lullaby." But I still sing along with "It's just a ****ing alibi" on the bridge...

Fan since a Fetus
My first memory of The Cars: I was probably about 5, my uncle was looking for something to listen to and asked me if I wanted to listen to the cars. I said yes enthusiastically. He put them on and I was immediately disappointed. I was expecting car sounds. Like motors revved up.
Busch1724
Plus the impact Ric had beyond The Cars. He was a great producer. He produced and brought Weezer to our attention. Plus produced many others like No Doubt, Nada Serf, Bad Brains, Bad Religion, and many more.

TradeTheBeal!
Here’s a pic of Eddie Money, Ben Orr and a shirtless Ric Ocasek in the background. 1978 or so.
