He’s probably aware that it’s unlikely he’ll be able to get Ohtani to leave the West. I don’t think he’ll blink at signing both Soto and Yamamoto in consecutive years. EDIT: I’m reading a book called Rogues. It’s a collection of short pieces that were in the New Yorker over the past 15-20 years. There’s one on Cohen. Whew. It’s amazing he’s not in jail.
