a lot. Like $50-60M over '23 and '24 before his contract is done.

$59m total over those two years. I say punt him as soon as Cavalli and Henry are ready and need MLB innings. Thanks for 2019, here's your parting gift.

Whatever happens with ownership needs to happen first. New owners might decide that its worth investing more into things like training/health/coaching and see if they bring in outside help to work with him. I don't know. Considering how much one guy can make. They could spend millions more on these other things to support the expensive player.

Is there any value using him in the pen?

Maybe? The problem is he has that meltdown inning--last night he gave up 2 homers, a double and a walk. Fortunately it was only 3 runs, but a better team, it's worse. Does that happen out of the pen? If so, it's probably worse.

Hope it continues

Continuing this level of dominance is near impossible to continue, but it's nice to see--especially Corbin last night. We haven't been facing the '27 Yankees, but still, those are great numbers against anyone.

Josiah Gray has been killing it over his last 5 starts: 1.24 ERA, .493 OPS against, 9.6 K/9. Most importantly, he's given up just 3 HR over his last 29 IP.
