The 12th Commandment
http://www.wcpo.com/news/crime/watch-live-investigators-give-updates-on-pike-co-homicides This one got interesting. 3 of the 4 locations where the shootings took place had commercial grow operations. They were in the game. I don't know that the local Ohio dealers are that cold blooded, shooting moms with babies in their arms.

TradeTheBeal!
Was anyone surprised that this involved drugs? To be fair, families get slaughtered all the time in this country and drugs aren't involved. The fact that the infants weren't killed is probably the main indicator that this case was unusual, ie a drug hit.

A kid I knew in junior high got killed that way. What surprised me was the multiple places and the efficiency, for lack of a better word, with which it was done. That's another level of professional and not local Ohio pot industry I'm thinking.

BornaSkinsFan83
You say commercial grow operations and I think it's something legal. Of course this is drug related. Edit: drug/money related

MEANDWARF
Anyway, praying for the victim's family whatever the cause was. Since-less violence.
s0crates
So what does the marijuana mean to the case? I see several possibilities: 1. The marijuana grow could be totally unrelated to the murders. 2. The killer might be a rival grower (edit: apparently the town has some connection to Mexican cartels). 3. The killer might be some kind of vigilante. I wouldn't go leaping to any conclusions about it. Whatever the case, it's certainly a tragedy. An entire family murdered in their beds while the kids slept next to them. Horrific.

Dan T.
A grow operation uncovered in that county several years ago (2012) was linked to a Mexican Cartel. But there is nothing connecting that to the operation uncovered as a result of these murders. http://www.cnn.com/2016/04/24/us/marijuana-grow-operation-found-at-ohio-slaying-sites/

The Evil Genius
This story reads like a pulp novel. http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2016/04/27/violent-rhoden-brothers-met-a-violent-end-in-ohio-massacre.html It looks like this was pure revenge. Fergasun
Anyone else think police are involved in this? I question how a half million dollar grow operation sprouts... apparently people knew the younger kids sold pot. I will feel stronger about my theory if bo leads or public arrests are made in 30 days.
