pretty sure he cannot deport the wife and kids.....just saying

if the writer is wrong on that then what else are they shading?

I think the writer is saying that even though he has a US citizen wife and kids HE can still be deported and not that the wife and kids will be.  At least that is how I read it.  You may have misinterpreted it due to a missing comma after the word "children".

Interesting....

This was nice.

“The State Department worked incredibly well with the Department of Homeland Security to ensure that this case was reviewed and handled appropriately,” Dina Powell, White House deputy national security adviser for strategy, said in a statement. “We could not be prouder of this delegation of young women who are also scientists -- they represent the best of the Afghan people and embody the promise that their aspirations can be fulfilled. They are future leaders of Afghanistan and strong ambassadors for their country.”

Critics had argued that the visa denials sent the wrong message to the people of Afghanistan, where U.S. troops are still fighting Taliban militants who once barred girls from attending school. The denials bolstered allegations that Trump is, via executive orders and other means, trying to impose a ban on Muslims entering the United States. The visa rejections also undercut the administration’s insistence that it cares about empowering women globally.

The State Department dismissed the girls’ visa requests at least twice, according to media reports, though, citing privacy laws, it did not spell out its reasons. One common reason Afghans are rejected for U.S. entry is the concern that they will overstay their visas and refuse to go back home.

The president became aware of the case and asked officials at the National Security to see what they could do.

After those officials talked to counterparts at various agencies, the Department of Homeland Security agreed to allow the girls in on a system known as “parole,” which will allow them to stay in the United States for 10 days, though technically not on visas.

The parole authority is used in exceptional circumstances, senior administration officials told POLITICO. In this case, it was determined there was a significant public benefit to letting the girls in, the officials said.

I thought this funny...durn immigrants :rofl89:

http://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2017/07/how-did-that-russian-lawyer-get-to-stay-in-the-u-s.php?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter

According to her sworn declaration, former Russian prosecutor Natalia Veselnitskaya was denied a U.S. visa to travel to the United States from Russia to participate in litigation. Although she was subsequently granted immigration parole to make the trip, her parole was set to expire on January 7, 2016. Her request to extend was denied on January 4, 2016.

Yet she was still in the U.S. in June when she met with Trump, Jr. Grassley’s letter seeks information about how could have happened.

'Cause we wouldn't want them legal immigrants, either.

Between this and things like doing away with net neutrality, they are trying to **** as many American businesses as possible.

Not that I expect a 71 year-old trust fund baby in the early stages of dementia to be able to comprehend basic cause and effect, but....

Economic growth is entirely the product of two factors: working age population growth and increased productivity. So, if you kick out a significant portion of the population and prevent the entry of people who are twice as likely to start new businesses and make up one third of tech startups, not to mention cuts in research and the loss of export markets, you will never sniff that magical 3% growth rate you keep promising.
