Some More Cops Who Need to Be Fired

This is a large part of the problem. Yes it’s the law, but the cops have discretion about who they lock up. Do you believe that if the kids involved were white, they’d have done the same thing? And, why were the cops even called in the first place? Maybe it was a neighbor wanting a big response, but I’m not buying the shots fired BS.

They do have the discretion in the moment, indeed.  And yes, I've witnessed or had friends (white),  that were in the same predicament.  Police forcing someone to own up to weed or something else while a group of people was there, but obviously only one or two owned whatever it was.

1.  The police absolutely could have handled this better.  This is definitely something where if they wanted to be the bad cop in this situation, they don't go to the lengths that they did.  They have to do their job, they get a call about shots fired, they find guns, they need to do their due diligence.  However, there were way more logical ways to handle this.  I think a person you could make an example is whoever stated that there was cocaine and unauthorized guns, when there wasn't.

2.  I could see a neighbor call because they are frustrated, but you can call for excessive noise/party/etc.  So I find it weird someone could make it up, but indeed they could.

3.  I'm frankly shocked, they wanted to do paperwork for 70 people.

Report: Arrested Las Vegas officer recorded man's genitals, told 'mentally ill' man to 'twerk'

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) - A Las Vegas Metropolitan Police officer used police equipment to conduct records searches while on duty for friends and family, according to her arrest report, released Thursday.

Police arrested LVMPD patrol officer Rachel Sorkow Tuesday for five counts of felony misconduct, along with "capturing the image of the private area of another person," and indecent exposure, Metro police said.

The long list of crimes police said she committed while working for the department includes looking up addresses, arrest records, and license plate information on potential boyfriends or girlfriends of friends and family.

Police said she recorded seven videos of four people who were "in her control as a police officer." One video was of a man with a tear in his pants. In the video, he kicked a police car, which exposed his genitals. Sorkow used the squad car PA to tell the man to continue kicking the car while she recorded the video and distributed it to friends, the report said.

According to the report, Sorkow responded to a call of a mentally ill man wearing two dresses, with his hair in pigtails. In a video Sorkow recorded with her cell phone, she told him, "I just want to see you dougie and twerk and then we're good." He starts dancing and she tells him, "Yea! Get it again, one more time."

She must have made some superiors angry because none of the stuff she’s accused of looks terribly serious compared to the stuff routinely discussed in this thread.  Cops threaten kids with violence and nothing comes of it, they beat people for no good reason and again nothing comes of it... but she recorded a crazy guy kicking her car with his junk out and she’s arrested?  How does this make sense?

That's a sad statement, right there.  It means that your expectations of the police are so low that you expect 5 counts of felony misconduct will routinely go unpunished.

Officer accused of giving homeless man feces sandwich wins appeal

SAN ANTONIO - A San Antonio police officer fired in October 2016 after he allegedly gave a homeless man a sandwich with dog feces had his dismissal overturned by an arbitrator earlier this month.

Bike patrol Officer Matthew Luckhurst won his appeal due to a provision in the local government code that prevents law enforcement from disciplining an officer for conduct that occurred more than 180 days before they are disciplined.

Sorry man, but spitting on someone is just nasty. Your gonna get clocked, handcuffs or not!

Use of force is justified to stop someone from spitting on you... decease...

i certainly wouldn't say it is "justified"  (you can protect yourself best in that situation by just stepping back 4 steps)... but it certainly is a mitigating factor.

Dude sitting in a chair spitting on the officers can not claim to be a wholly innocent victim

He has good reason to expect nothing from the so-called justice system. You can even get away with statutory rape if you're wearing a badge. If this guy were a teacher and not a thug with a badge, he'd never even have made bail, let alone have a shot at having the whole thing wiped clean. As with the cops, the so-called justice system is there to protect the predatory class, not you.

School Cop Who Received Oral Sex From A Child Won’t Have To Register As Sex Offender

A Houston Independent School District police officer admitted in court on Wednesday to having an improper relationship with a 14-year-old student while employed at Cullen Middle School in 2015. Jacob Ryan Delgadillo, 30, entered the plea as a part of a deal that allows him to get off with only five years probation and will not require him to register as a sex offender. If he completes his probation without incident, Delgadillo will not show a conviction on his record.

That guy has 2 feces related indefinite suspensions. Even cops can't defend that.

If they can defend statutory rape, they can easily defend this.

On March 6, James appeared in Harford County District Court to represent a client. His client was not present, but there was an open warrant out for his client’s arrest, according to the complaint.

The complaint alleges an officer detained and questioned James after the hearing, suspecting he was his client impersonating a lawyer. James showed his driver’s license, but the officer did not believe it was valid, the complaint said.

California police officers fatally shot a 20-year-old rapper who was sleeping in his car outside a Taco Bell, authorities said.

Six Vallejo officers fired “multiple rounds” at the man, identified by family as Willie McCoy, police said. McCoy had a handgun on him when the officers fired out of “fear for their own safety” on Saturday night, according to the department.

The family of McCoy, whose rapper name was Willie Bo, said Tuesday that police had racially profiled the young black man and that there was no justification for using deadly force against someone who was sleeping and not a threat.
