Gibbs Hog Heaven
Honestly, at this moment in time, I don't see the point. We'd be lucky to get back what we gave to draft him (certainly no great increase on that), so he's more valuable being the QB2 than not. Then as now I wouldn't of drafted him as a luxury pick in the first place. Now I'd let his contract play out and see where he/ we stand. Hail. abdcskins
Of course he is, he deserves a chance to start. Hopefully here. ;-) We should not trade him. At the least we have insurance for RG3 and a competent backup.

With that being said i believe we can get a 2nd round pick for him. If the Browns are envolved we could probably get one of there 1st rd picks, because they've proven that they're morons. SKINSFAN87
The redskins will only trade him if they get an offer that they can't refuse ( like a first or second round pick). I don't think that he will be going anywhere and he is good insurance in case rg3 gets injured.

Bubble Screen
Fix your title OP. And you guys thinking we could get a 2nd for Kirk are INSANE.
TheGoodBits
Cleveland makes no sense. If they're happy rolling with Hoyer this year, which they should be IMO, they shouldn't trade for Kirk. If they are looking for an upgrade over Hoyer, Kirk isn't that guy and they should use one of their 1st round picks on the QB they want (who will have a higher upside that Kirk anyway). TheGoodBits
Who says there happy with Hoyer? They have a whole new coaching staff. Still got the same FO. Hoyer played great for them this year until he got hurt. Even if they're looking for an upgrade, like I said, they'd probably be more inclined to use one of their 1sts than to trade for Cousins. Makes no sense, as they already have a QB better than Kirk on their roster.

Morrison J
I can't see us getting anything better for him than where we got him from (4th round pick) I'd be surprised if any team took him on as a starter with such a QB deep draft aswell as the likes of Vick, Schaub and Sanchez available through FA. At the end of the day his value has been ruined by the last few games last season. I'd keep him if possible as we need a half decent back up to RG3 especially with the uncertainty's regarding his health.

Roger.Staubach
Can't blame the guy for wanting to start. Also...I wouldn't blame the Skins if they decided not to trade him. You've got two potential starters on your roster. That's a helluva nice position to be in.
DogofWar1
At this point, you entertain offers for the kid, and if the right one shows up on your doorstep (which means 2nd or better, which almost certainly won't happen), then you do it. Otherwise, just hold onto him. While it might delay him getting a real shot to be a starter, there is some benefit to Kirk too, as he'll get the chance to work with Gruden, who developed Andy Dalton and helped to make him one of the best young QBs in the league. If Kirk continues developing and becomes a franchise QB stuck at backup, he'll make bank once he becomes a UFA, which I can't imagine he'd dislike. @DCGoldPants
The guy wants to start, and you can't blame him. However ,you don't give him away for more than what you'd really want. If you can't get a 2nd rounder. Then he's more valuable to this team as their backup another year. He's a big boy and a nice guy. He'll deal with it in a classy way. RonArtest15
I think a lot of people in the Skins fanbase overvalue Kirk. I don't think there's a chance in hell that he nets a first...let alone a second round pick. Probably in that 3/4/5 range. I'd wager towards 4/5 more than anything tho. skinfan2k
It was a dumb pick 2 years ago. We wasted a pick on a guy who played 2 games and this team wasn't even close to reaching a Super Bowl and didn't have the luxury using that pick for a backup. That's besides the point. Now you have to decide whether or not it is worth keeping him if someone offers a 3-4 round pick. If they do, i think it would be best to keep him on the roster and not trade him just because of the value you are getting back If you get a high 2 then you have to do it. Backup QBs don't matter in this league if you have a team like ours. We know if RG3 gets injured for a few weeks our season is over, unlike the Pats or Bronocs

We know if RG3 gets injured for a few weeks our season is over, unlike the Pats or Bronocs I agree, if you can get a first or second for him you gotta trade him. We don't have the pieces to survive if Griffin goes down so it doesn't matter anyways who we put in at backup. With Kyle in Cleveland maybe Bruce can somehow weasel away their 2nd first round pick, although its very doubtful stranger things have happened. Fred Jones
Quarterback is the only position that gets overvalued as it is always the biggest need and biggest game changer for any team. If by chance a team in the AFC wants to give up a 2nd round pick I say execute. I don't see it happening, but QB is a position teams will trade draft choices for.
