Mr. Sinister
I did a double take when I woke up (not that long ago) and saw snow outside.
dfitzo53
Yeah kooky. NWS still seems to be predicting lows above freezing all over the area. Anyway, we'll be careful.
d0ublestr0ker0ll
Surprise snow event. Temps should only get colder. Think we're going to be getting measurable accumulations, and am starting to think greater than 2".
Skins24
Winter Weather Advisory up for areas North and West of DC. Roads and sidewalks completely covered here with a sleet/snow slush.

d0ublestr0ker0ll
34 degrees but back to all-rain. Wtf? Coating of snow on the ground. Up in the air if snow starts to accumulate again. Really, screw predictions, I'll just say who ****ing knows? Bulk of system should be exiting tonight. Nice weather the next three days. Even I'm frustrated. And when it comes to snow, I'm like Will Ferrell in that SNL cheerleader skit.
d0ublestr0ker0ll
Back up to 40 degrees at 11 PM. So we were in the 40s this morning. It dropped to 34 between noon and 5 PM. Then after the Sun goes down, it warms back up to 40. We reached our low temperature at the time we usually record our high temperature. It's been raining for the past 6 hours. I'm confused. EnFoRcEr_uPu
Admit it - you saw this thread at the top of the list and thought "OMG! NO! WHY?!?!" Looks like winter's gonna blow a little cold breath on us again this week, dropping into the low 30's at night with the chance for a few passing flurries. We still have seedlings inside so I can easily replace them. Well I just bought a new house in November so this was my first weekend of yard work and I was pumped lol. My MIL was saying that it was supposed to get cold and don't do any planting. I didn't believe her until I looked and saw the weather. Figures haha. Also, a good reminder to those who watered their grass over the weekend to unhook your hoses from the spout. Don't want to get any freeze ups. Don't want to get any freeze ups.Very good call, everyone read the above.I was very surprised that we had a sustained heat wave for the past two weeks. Really thought we'd see more crazy nights like tonight, to be honest. Will be crazy to see snow after all these great days in a row. Reminder that the record for latest measurable snowfall in D.C. is April 28th (0.5").

d0ublestr0ker0ll
Wait, we aren't expected to see any measurable snow are we? 2"-4" for the metro area. The biggest factor will be if you read this line and realize I'm just pullin' your chain. Most likely no measurable snow, but a chance to see flakes tonight. Temperature is already starting to crash.
