very much so agreed but I feel like the two situations are very different

Stras NEEDS his arm to be successful

RGIII is a quarterback so his arm is what is most important.

SS could have his career ended with another elbow injury...not the case for RGIII

The Stras Griff comparison you're responding to is ridiculous, but I'm not sure they point you're trying to make with your response.

If RG3 seriously injured his elbow of his throwing arm it would absolutely threaten his career.

Speaking to the current injury that RG3 is dealing with -- the biggest reason for RG3's success this season is his ability/threat to run. It's only a grade 1 sprain but with only a week of rest I can't imagine the kid will be 100%. So, the biggest thing that makes him special at this point will be slightly diminished.

huh? I said that the people who voted and thinks rg3 is gonna sit are crazy. No way he sits out this game even if his knee is falling off. That's the kind of man he is.

No one doubts RG3's will and courage to play through pain -- that was proven last game when he came back in the game after sitting out a play after the injury. That's not the debate.

If RG3's knee was "falling off" (haha) the doctors wouldn't clear him to play so, yes, he would sit out.

No one voting for "yes" to sit him are hardly crazy. Again, what makes him special THIS year is his ability to run and the threat to opposing defenses it poses. If he's not able to be that player we're used to seeing due to the injury then he should absolutely sit IMO.

That said -- I have a feeling he'll play Sunday.

Would everyone PLEASE stop trying to trade Kirk! Nobody is going to trade for a rookie QB with less than 4 quarters of playing time. And we're not going to trade him when Grossman won't even be on the roster this time next year. He was drafted to do 2 things. Backup RG3 and be able to play and run the offense in case he has to. They are NOT trading him and these pipe dreams for picks (especially 2nd rounders- Really? Madden Much?) are just that.

Seriously. Even if Cousins looks incredible I would want to hold onto him. We've gone 20 years with horrible QB play and now we'd want to trade away any sign of depth at the position?

You trust a doctor who is diagnosing a knee injury from a video? Yeah, now thats genius. I guess its better than Dr. James Andrews. Probably the most renowned knee specialist in the history of Medicine who happens to be our team doctor and actually looked at his knee...

I guess sarcasm doesn't translate well over the internet

Sorry. Guess I did miss that one. Alot of tension in here on the decision. My bad.

I guess I wasn't very obvious with it. I was just annoyed that ESPN rolls that guy out there and expects everyone to just take his opinion as truth. He acted all smug about it too.

dude, I'm comparing RGIII's current injury to Stras' elbow...

I have insight from someone at Redskins park, i wont mention who but he said that RG3 WILL NOT START. Cousins is going to start and RG3 will be questionable for the Eagles game.

hopefully you're wrong...lol

I bought a joint from Pierre Garcons maid's boyfriend and he says Brandon Banks will start and we will run the wildcat.

If Rg III's is healthy enough I'd start him, hard for me to see how they win with Cousins

Browns defense > Redskins defense

Trent Richardson (tied or better than) Alfred Morris

Gordon, Little, Benjamin (tied) Garcon, Moss, Morgan

Browns homefield > Redskins on the road.

With RG III, superior QB play might do the trick to offset the Browns advantages. Otherwise, to win this game aren't we counting on 4th round pick, Kirk Cousins in his first start in the NFL, to outplay first rounder Weeden -- who has played better of late. I don't get the notion of Cousins just has to manage the game to win this -- that presumes we have the better skilled position players and defense but IMO we don't. We IMO need to count on Cousins to have a big game to win or our bad defense does the one thing it does well at times and that is be opportunistic and pick off Weeden. Though keep in mind the rap on Cousins in college is he makes plays but is mistake/interception prone. Browns secondary > Redskins secondary.

Obviously, I wouldn't jeopardize RG III's health, just saying IMO we are underdogs against the Browns with Cousins starting. And i like Cousins but IMO its a lot to ask of him to have a big game in his NFL starting debut and I think he needs to do for us to win.

:ols: I heard from my father's brother's nephew's cousin's former roommate (who once saw Mike Shanahan buy a piece of pie) that RG3 is not starting and is, in fact, being traded to the Chiefs for 4th round pick and Brady Quinn.

This is all the same old Shanny smoke screen. No body knows if RGIII starts except him or Shanny. They are not going to let anyone know. If they can get cleveland to gameplan for Cousins, then throw Griffin in at the last minute, then why not. Prior Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance. Just turn the tables Skins!!!!
