  1. Got same message. Email the ticket office and they'll 'open' the link for you.
  2. Welcome, tshile! I'm in sect 205 as well, row 1. Been splitting my tickets recently with my buddy, Cam, who is the man! Look forward to seeing you around!
  3. Yeah, there are select seats alright. The best available. If you're offering free parking in this campaign, why skimp on the seat location? The answer is: you don't. You offer the best available with the ultimate goal of bringing in cash. There is no money in moving current ticket holders to better seats (besides any ticket price increase for changing zones, but that is a moot point). The "other seats" in the upgrade process will be whatever is left after the campaign. Furthermore, after this "special campaign", current season ticket holders will be given an opportunity to add seats to their account. When that is done, the upgrade process will go under way with whatever seats are left. Unfortunately for those that bought parking, the front office made sure that you were paid in full or committed to the payment plan before coming out with the free parking promo... Not sure who would renew knowing that free parking will be given out to "new" season ticket holders. Either way, this all could be a great point to be brought up at the Fan Forum tomorrow evening in respect to "What we pay (or don't pay) for the fan experience at FedEx".
  4. 2 tickets. No catch or contract involved. Regular green pass and also offered a free jersey.
  5. My buddy dropped his upper levels last season. Got a call for an offer in 118 or 125, free green parking.
  6. Looking forward to mailing in Monopoly money in a couple of months.
  7. True, but still have the parking passes to be concerned about. My tickets required a signature. Sounds like the drivers are making the decisions
  8. I got my upgrade after I sent them an email. They responded about 3 days later saying my seats were listed on my invoice. I went from UL to LL. Good luck!
  9. My upgrade is now on my invoice. Sect 134, R 20 (how many seats in these rows, anyone know?)
  10. I usually have at least one invoice available. When I log in now, there are zero invoices. Not even an option for open or completed invoices.
  11. Welcome aboard, blmurphy! Gonna be a fun season!
  12. I did the same with my gray parking passes (route from 495, exit 17). It's a quick exit after the game because the gray gets it's own lane, basically, to the beltway. The Green B3 lot is paved, and is considerably closer than the gray lot (especially if you don't go through the woods). And the exodus isn't that bad if you follow the info on here. I posted a map a few posts above that shows my route to the Green B3 lot. You can take exit 15, but I go exit 13 for good measure. See you out there.
  13. True. Here is my route to FedEx field, approaching from the south on 495. [Green B3 parking pass]
  14. Yah system is back up with invoices avail, everyone return to your homes. haha
  15. I think the upgrade process has certainly started, but I think it will be awhile before things are set in stone; too many tangibles for now. With that said, if you are the ticket office/management, what do you anticipate happening after the draft? Assuming RG3, do you expect an increase in sales (immediately or within months)? Surely it would unwise to completely ignore it. Maybe they'd like to expedite the upgrade process to allow for a better position on where they stand in terms of seat availability. Only one thing is for sure regarding the TO, they'll def be trying to push the premium seats.
  16. Also locked out. Upgrade process has begun, but will not be finalized for a bit. I do know that the TO sent out second chance invoices to all canceled or removed seats (by request) with an April 15th due date (that would include an upgrade if "re-purchased") Therefore, I'd assume finalization would not be any sooner than 15 April.
  17. I love attorneys. This isn't aimed at you carverkid, because I'm sure you were involved in billing at some time or another in your career and are quite familiar with all this. Football is a business and business can go pretty in-depth. I'm sure no one just up and said "Let's make the fee $3". Lots of study was put into that amount. Been involved in numerous case studies at skool that basically cover human behavior and aesthetically pleasing invoices. You'd be surprised at the amount of disruption a small fee makes; multiplied by a large customer base and you are talking millions of dollars. Some industries don't really have a choice (cell phone). I got the $39.99/month plan but I'm paying $60+? Once you look at the invoice, you see the fees and taxes (both required and not). (2 year contracts and encouraging "Auto-Pay" saves companies millions of dollars and thousands of man hours dealing with complaints as small fees are added/changed; you could imagine) Verizon recently made a stab at having customers cover the credit card processing fee that most retailers eat up (~2-3%), and got destroyed by customer reactions. They later canceled the fee. [sidenote : Redskins eat about 2.9% on MasterCard payments by STH. For $6k club seats, that's almost $175 by itself] This thread is a good example. $Thousands spent, and now there is a discussion for $3. It's human behavior. Most don't mind it financially, but they think it is a bit tacky (my original opinion). Which of the following invoices looks better: 2012 Season Ticket Invoice: 2 Seats - $1456 Parking - $350 Shipping - $25 Security Fee - $20 Online Processing Fee - $3 Stadium Clean-up Fee - $2 Environmental Protection Fee - $5 10% County Tax - $145.60 Solar Energy Fee - $8 Ticket Printing/Handling Fee - $.50 Total - $2015.10 OR 2012 Season Ticket Invoice : 2 Seats - $1675 Parking - $350 Shipping - *** FREE *** Total - $2025 Even with $10 increase, most people would prefer the 2nd invoice. But it IS a balancing game between total invoice prices, the cost of individual game tickets, and everything in between. Bottom line, lots of work and formulas are utilized to find the perfect balance; including a silly $3 fee. And then there are people who could care less about all this mess, aka Club Level STH (Best sight lines in the stadium though! haha) Seriously though, let's play some football!
  18. What are you a car salesman or something?
  19. You really know how to break a man down, tshile. I'm going to bed.
  20. You definitely made the right decision. Premium seats have and always will be available for purchase at any time. If you really wanted some GA seats, you could probably get an agreement made to do a year in premium seats and then a transfer to GA seats after that.
  21. +1, I find it hard to believe it doesn't benefit them to have it done online. Just looks tacky.
  22. Nothing worse than a one hour walk of shame after a loss. Didn't mind walking down after the season opener vs. the giants last season, though.
  23. If you got the credit, you can use some credit card deals to pad the cost. My wife and I have pentagon federal cu cards that are switching to a rewards card. Switch was made this week. Spend $1000 get $250 visa gift card. So, 2100 bill. 1050 on one card, 1050 on the other, and then we get $500 visa prepaid gift card. Chase has some good cc sign up deals (get $500 cash back when you spend 2500,etc) Edit: oh yeah, be sure you have the funds to pay off the card. I never carry a balance, neither should you
  24. Going into my 2nd year as a STH. Upgrade question. If I select to move down to the lower level on my invoice, and I am not able to get moved... I keep the same seats I had? With no row or section upgrade? So basically I am taking a gamble?
