The Evil Genius
Giants today announced that they have locked up Madison Bumgarner through 2019 (club option on last year). That's their 3 core pitchers taken care of long term...now if they can get Timmy back to being Timmy...
MattFancy
Some bad umpiring so far. 3 of those 5 pitches were called strikes?! http://deadspin.com/5902405/the-red-sox-game-ended-with-a-magical-elastic-strike-zone

TheDoyler23
Not a good night for the pink hats. 18-3. Boston has a runner on and he doesn't even take a base with defensive indifference. Call it offensive indifference.
royallypwned
Game is finally over. Hard to believe that the Red Sox led 2-0 at one point. Also, @ the fans chanting "Let's go Bruins" in the late innings.

royallypwned
Ugh. I don't even know what to say. "Luckily it's only one game." That's what you say. Could still win by one run tomorrow and manage a series split despite lopsided total scores. That said, I hope it's a quick sweep and off to Detroit. ixcuincle
I said all throughout this thread that the Sox rotation was mediocre and their bullpen was awful They deserve what they got Their time is done
skins_fan1982
Welp, I witnessed history last night. Was at the Rockies game @ Coors, and Jamie Moyer at 49 years and 157 days old, became the oldest pitcher in Major League history to win a game. He looks great so far. he's only 1-2, but his ERA is 2.55. The Rockies have made 8 errors behind him in three games. Troy Tulowitzki has 6 errors so far this season....he had 6 errors all last year! royallypwned
Guys aren't hitting Moyer well because they fall asleep at the plate waiting for the ball to get there.

Tell me about it His fastball was clocking in at 77. I think I was throwing 77 MPH in 10th grade LOL
Boston Skins
Ok this really sucks. I live near New Orleans, yet all games from the Astros and the Rangers are blacked out on my mlb.tv. Freaking boo man.

The Evil Genius
There might not be a better pitched game by both starting pitchers than last nights game between the Giants and the Phils. Cain and Lee were dominant.

The Evil Genius
BTW, that's 18 straight scoreless innings for Cain, with a total of 4 baserunners. ---------- Post added April-19th-2012 at 07:32 AM ---------- When's the last time you saw a pitcher go 10 innings? Great pitching from both Cain and Lee last night. Both could have. Cain had only thrown 91 pitches after 9 innings, but he came up in the bottom of the 9th and they had to go for the win and PH for him. I was at the park for his 1-hitter on (home) opening day. Since that first game in Arizona, he's been nearly untouchable. I guess the new contract helps.

I'm sure it has happened since then, but I'll never forget the 1991 World Series. Game 7 Jack Morris.
royallypwned
Rangers scored 8 runs in the first against the Tigers and there wasn't a single visit to Porcello on the mound by the pitching coach or manager. And he started the 2nd and proceeded to continue to get knocked around before finally getting pulled.
samy316
Congrats to Phil Humber from the White Sox for pitching a perfect game. LOL @ FOX for not switching a 9-1 Red Sox-Yankees game until there was 1 out in the 9th. I think FOX was legitimately pissed that they had to switch out of their "marquee" matchup. By the way, only 8% of the nation had the capability to watch the entire White Sox-Mariners game today thanks to FOX.

TD_washingtonredskins
Pretty dramatic at the end...he went 3-2 a couple times in the last 2 innings and threw ball 4 only to be bailed out by the batter and possibly the umpire. I am happy it happened though...things like that are cool to see.
