Still sticking to it you'll be home before Wimbledon starts under that useless knobhead but we'll see.

Hail.

Possibly, no real expectations outside of the groups from me. Roy did the hard work, got the lass back to the hotel then **** the bed.

Can't dwell on that haha.

Excuse at the ready for England.....

Finishing first might lead to a match up with Croatia or the Czech Republic, as third placed finishers from Spain's group.

Finishing second will net a game against Austria, Hungary or Iceland ( based on Portugal winning that group).

Finishing third and getting through and Germany could be on the cards.

Looks like a nice reward for second.

2018 is going to be awful. :(

The Russians fans are on record as being out to destroy the English, who they know are hooligan small fry these days, the Poles, Swedes and Ukrainians this month.

Northern Irish and Polish fans at it now(england Russian hooligan reserve sides). Sigh. thought we were moving past this with football.

Perfect storm, more teams, security focus elsewhere (rightly so), so it's a free for all. Come back in 2 weeks and 50% of the teams fan bases will have **** stuck to them.

For me, you have to wonder if FIFA sacks up and strips it away.

I mean, 2 killed at a group match in France.  Think of the body count when they have the means to hide bodies.

A ****ing sham.

No affiliation with us southern folk whatsoever. Just to be clear, if you see someone spilling drink or throwing beer bottles you can be pretty sure they are not really Irish!

Ya'll are bad today

Wait! WHAT?!!!!! KILLED?!!!!! Whos reporting this?

Theres been news of an Englishman critical but nothing more here.

Hail.

The train death was a false report.

I heard one killed before the match and one killed after.

The train death raises and eye brow for me.  Initially reported as a Russian pushing and England supporter in front of a train - then changed to a "French woman committing suicide" which to me sounds like text book damage control.  You really think a French woman is out that late with that nonsense going on and actually makes it to a train station to do that?  I smell bull****.

UEFA have a lot to answer for and FIFA seriously needs to consider stripping the World Cup from Russia in 2018.  Maybe give it to England or Canada (or even Brasil again).  Somewhere with a Geographical barrier that could host it on short notice.  I say England cause they have grounds to boot and Canada cause they just did a good job hosting the women's cup.  Only thing is up there most of the grounds have field turf and the ball bounces really funny.

They have to keep any events away from Brazil. Olympics + Zika es no bueno.

But I agree, they need to strip it from Russia. Between Ukrainian aggression and all their other aggressive acts toward sovereign nations.

But you never know, a public **** slap like that could send Putin into war mode.

There is one English fan fighting for his life after he was assaulted by Russians, he suffered serious head traumas. I hope he will recover.

Doggone socialists blaming football and England for failing to handle those hooligans, can you believe this crap ?

Last time around with trouble, Russia landed something like a 6 point deduction, suspended, plus a minimal fine. That means nothing to them as 2018 hosts so this 2016 tourney is them running free. Can't see strong sanctions, too much fear, so it's open house to do what they want. They've publisiced that June 11 Marseille would be a bloodbath.

My guess is 2018 would be fairly trouble free in context. The Russian ultras will do their business on free reign in France 2016 so perceived holligans will know who's boss. It should be noted the Russian yobs have strong army and police membership and are trained accordingly.

Really can't see the French authorities being able to put a lid on this. Sadly, it will be a part of the tourney.

Onto today then, Turkey, Croatia, Poland, NI, Germany and Ukraine....oh boy.

Looking forward to the later game out of that lot.

When there is a will there is a way. Instead of sending police forces to basically stand, watch, and throwing teargas, unleash them.

Yesterday hundreds of barbarians roamed the streets of Marseille, only 7 where put into custody !

I would send the French Foreign Legion, and believe me they will wipe them all in a matter of a heart beat. Unfortunately they're not allowed to fight on French soil. We do have very efficient special police and gendarmerie task forces, they just need the proper orders. Politicians and journalists are a bunch of liars.

Turkey vs Croatia will be an interesting game, unfortunately we will see more riots on the streets.

Yeah, French police seem stretched pretty thin.

I'm rooting for reason for the remainder of the tournament.

Police were elsewhere based on what I read.  They were shooting tear gas because they were outnumbered and it's effective.

You haven't lived until you've been gassed.

Between these and the ISIS stuff, it's a nightmare scenario for France right now.

Yeah, totally forgot about Zika.

And neither UEFA or FIFA will do anything but fine England's FA for supporters chanting "anti ISIS" cheers.  Except the ones from Manchester, who did nothing.

Indescriminantly shooting tear gas into a crowded area is a terrible tactic. That ****s a MF when it gets in your eyes. And you can't escape it. For innocent people to suffer that when there is absolutely no need is terribly wrong.

Couple that with little security inside the stadium, and the French tactics have been real poor and VERY questionable.

And that in no way condones the knobheads there for the aggro. But the French need to evaluate how they deal with incidents. All the more surprising from previous experience in France where the normal MO from the GIGN is to hit first and ask questions later. France has some of the worst police around I've encountered all over Europe for being heavy handed and often provoking things.

Not sure why they aren't moving in swifter to deal with the trouble makers. The tear gas disgrace needs to stop.

Hail.
