How can you trade this guy? Look at him.

Seriously though, the guy had a few bad games. A few bad plays. He's a good player. He just doesn't think sometimes. He'll improve. You guys are so quick to judge.

idk, he's a top 10 draft pick and he's been in the league for 3 years. At this point I don't think it's unreasonable that based on those two things, he should be a top 5 or at least top 10 safety in the league. That's what top 10 draft picks are for, right? Yet he gives up big plays routinely without making his own, has poor tackling and a bad attitude. Maybe and hopefully we'll see a change this coming season, but if not, we should just cut our losses and get rid of him.

:ols: That'll be the day.

I think Jacobs put the fear into him.

Yeah... I don't think so.

Landry is a good player. He has been playing out of position. When him and ST were both playing (for the heartbreaking too short of a time) he was making plays crushing QB and making boat loads of tackles. He just needs to play closer to the line.

And by the Way every Safety in the NFL gets beat every now and then. I've seen Landry make far more good plays than bad.

LOL...u really think Landry was strong enough to knock Jacobs over there? Jacobs was doing nothing more but embellishing the push to draw a flag. C'mon now....Landry hasn't been the same player since he was embedded in the turf in the Meadowlands a few years back.

I agree with you except the funny thing is dirty 30 probably thought he has the upperhand now because he's a meathead. Revenge after the whistle is his MO. You just cant recover from a hit like that. It was emarrassing. If only we could replace the same scenario with Taylor (RIP). That would have been something to watch.

Landry was a meathead since college (at the latest). He knows he doesn't have the upperhand against running backs. That's why he dives at their ankles now.

Bad season?

He's yet to have a good season.

He was average his rookie season.

He was average to poor his second season.

He sucked long and hard last year.

Then add to those facts that we wasted the sixth pick in the draft on him and his posing and prancing and otherwise dick personality and you have a player worthy of the fan hate he receives.

He was average his rookie season? That has to be a joke.

Landry was great at strong safety (starting as a rookie for Gregg Williams hadn't happened before), and when he took over for Taylor, he had a highlight reel in about four games. Two interceptions in our playoff game.

You have to be out of your mind.

I agree with you man . . . It seems as if the majority of the posters want to blame Landry for EVERY bad play and deficiency we had on defense this past year. And they forget that he was damn impressive his rookie year and has shown flashes of being a solid to potential pro-bowl type of player. What we all can agree on is that he has been playing out of position since Sean passed. Laron is the prototypical Strong Safety in the box. To be sure, he has the speed and range to play Free . . . . but he doesn't have the discipline or fluidity in his hips to play Free Safety at the same level he plays Strong. Once Coach Haslett puts him back in the box I can see him making a ton of plays.

Back to the topic at hand - he is a large human being. When I saw the clips of Friday's minicamp on Comcast that was one of the first things I noticed.
