kiingspadee
Tonight they said "Scobee with the kick off - Simpson back to return - ball bounces out of the back of the endzone for a touchdown" Then they called Dallas Clark - Darryl Clark  Like them or not Aikman and Buck really are the cream of the crop when it comes to commentating
hyphenatedbren
I think the worst "call" was the play-by-play guy constantly taking about the Colts being down four when it was 31-28. Basic math fail.

Quincy
Yeah, I caught all those mistakes during the game. The fact that they managed to make such a great game and reduce it to a "meh" level on the care factor just shows how bad they are.

Chachie
I heard one where they said MJD was going back to pass Bingo. Me too. For a second I thought my fantasy RB (who was already having an amazing first half) had taken over the game altogether. LOL
Zhouse
They're pretty bad. At one point he said something along the lines of Jones-Drew dropping back to pass....

Jeff in D.C.
Agreed 200% about Millen & the other idiot in the booth, but I keep the game muted so I don't worry about it. I don't see why Rich Eisen & Deion couldn't call the game, they'd be much better than Millen & Moron.

Heisenberg
Hey, at least Siragusa isn't :blahblah: the whole game. Please, any FOX broadcast kicked the crap out of that broadcast team. They're the only announce crew that could make a kick return for a TD boring.

I kept waiting for a flag that wasn't being noted by the announcers because they definitely yawned all the way thru that return by Simpson. Dan T.
I think Millen is very good in the booth. I wonder whether people let his disasterous stint with Detroit color their views of him. But don't forget he had many years as a tough, really smart football player and knows the game as well as anybody. But there is something about the overall broadcast that seems lackluster. Maybe it's the lack of flashy graphics or super closeups of coaches' and players' faces that build suspense, fewer shifts of camera shots... I don't know what it is exactly that gives the overall broadcast a ho-hum feel. But Millen is fine. I wouldn't mind him land a Fox or CBS network gig as a color guy. FedExFielder
I wish they would just clone Gus Johnson multiple times and let him call every game.
pjfootballer
I was hoping last year that they would have hired Tom Hammonds to do play by play. Maybe Notre Dame has him under an exclusive contract.

Redskin4ever
Did anyone else hear the phone ringing? Towards the end of several plays, the mikes were picking up a phone ringing. I felt like Uncle Leo hoping someone would answer the phone.

fullnelson9999
I do like hearing Matt Millen in the booth doing color. As bad of a GM he was, he is still pretty good at analyzing the game.
Bubble Screen
What was up with the telecast tonite? That was so annoying hearing the Saints guy in the background giving the play by play, and it echoing around, while Millen and Papa were calling the game. You could barely hear them. The audio was HIDEOUS for that game.

Agreed, it's the play-by-play guy that's the major problem, Millen is okay.
