  1. Cherish those early seasons because it pretty much goes downhill after season 4. Season 5 is lackluster but tolerable, 6 is garbage, 7 is actually very good and then 8 is more garbage. IMO of course
  2. When I read that I just laughed in disgust and shook my head. What makes it even more ridiculous is the completely random Abyss tie in. The same with Bully Ray being the "guest referee" for the Lethal Lockdown match. Do they just sit around and say "who doesn't have an active storyline? Let's find a way to throw them into the mix!"
  3. Lockdown is pretty much the 1 TNA PPV I would alway buy but I ended up passing on it this year and after reading the results, I'm glad I did. Did Russo make a cameo for the Joe-Magnus finish? I also read that they pretty much ruined Jeff Hardy's Willow character within the first 5 minutes of the match. I've been following TNA on and off for a while now and have been watching Impact pretty faithfully for the last 2 years or so and I agree that this is by far the worst their product has been. I won't be surprised if TNA is gone by this time next year.
  4. I thought it was a fitting ending for the style of movie they were going for. I think they could have done a lot more with it though if they wanted to. But you are right, it kept me wondering "what the hell is this thing under the ice"? I liked the little swerve too with making you think Rosa survived and was giving her personal account to the camera, then you realize she is making a video diary while still on the ship
  5. So what upcoming shows are you all going to be checking out? I have 3 right now that I want to watch: Those Who Kill A&E Monday 3/3 @ 10 PM Resurrection ABC Sunday 3/9 @ 9 PM The 100 CW Wednesday 3/19 @ 9 PM
  6. I don't know how I missed your review only a few posts before mine lol.
  7. Went to see Robocop on Friday. I don't understand the terrible reviews it's been getting, I actually liked it. I think too many people are going into it expecting an identical remake of the original, which it definitely is not. I actually found myself more involved in the story than any of the action scenes (which I guess might answer my own question as to why people have been hating on it LOL). I also watched Europa Report on Netflix this weekend. If you are into sci-fi/space thrillers, it's worth checking out. Basically it's about a crew that gets sent on a mission to one of Jupiter's moons (Europa) after evidence is discovered that suggests there may be signs of life there. Of course things go awry along the way, all of which is documented on cameras mounted throughout their ship. It's not a typical found footage film though, as there isn't very much (if any) shaky cam involved.
  8. I'm soon going to be finishing up Dexter on Netflix and have already watched Breaking Bad, so trying to decide on which show to start next. Anybody recommend Burn Notice? I was considering starting that series but at 100+ episodes I want to make sure it's worth my time before getting invested in it.
  9. So glad I went to see this tonight, best movie I've seen this year. I agree about Gyllenhall. At first I wasn't really feeling his character but by the end I thought he did a pretty great job. Even at 2.5 hours it kept me heavily invested throughout. If movies with dark and foreboding themes are your thing, definitely go see this.
  10. Saw You're Next tonight. I'm not sure why its been getting generally good reviews, I thought it was one of the worst movies I've seen in a while. Most of the acting and plot were terrible and it morphed into some weird type of black comedy at points. The theater was laughing at it more than anything. I really liked home invasion movies such as the Strangers and Funny Games and was expecting this to be on par with those but it fell way short of both of them.
  11. I just watched the main event and was like damn I haven't seen fans this upset in a long time. Then I read that everyone that was throwing garbage in the ring were plants by TNA I'm just glad they made Bully heel again.
  12. Really? I think it's gotten extremely stale right now. The Aces & Eights story line has gone no where, in fact they are nothing more than jobbers right now. Hardy is the champ and hasn't been on TV in a month. Not that it really matters though because it's not like he has a true rival at the moment. At least not since they made the brilliant decision to put 2 of their best stars together in a forced tag team. I just hope they have Roode and Aries run thru everyone and eventually hold all the belts. But I know that will never happen. The X Division title is supposed to be their version of money in the bank yet there is never any mention of this and zero focus on the X Division as a whole. Nobody cares about a dinosaur title holder like RVD. Basically, they seem to have zero direction at the moment and it's becoming increasingly difficult to keep my interest. Crossing my fingers that they have Bully Ray beat Hardy for the title and promptly turn heel as the leader of Aces & Eights. Maybe that will breathe some life into an otherwise stagnant product.
  13. Yeah the Bound For Glory Series started in early summer. It ran through September when they had the semifinals with the winner getting a title shot in October at the Bound For Glory PPV. Besides it being too long, my biggest gripe is that they take into account non-televised matches. So unless you find recaps of their house shows, you have no idea what's happening in the standings between editions of Impact. Just makes it harder to follow IMO.
  14. Maybe that's my problem. I do watch the occassional comedy and documentary and I also watched all of the available episodes of Breaking Bad but by far I am most interested in the thriller genre. When I first joined I loved it. I watched all the Korean revenge flicks I could find (I agree with youngchew that I Saw the Devil is awesome) I also watched a bunch of other foreign films (Trollhunter, Antibodies, Bronson just to name a few of my favs). I ended up really liking a lot of them. But now it seems like the well is running dry, or else I am setting my expectations too high. Acolytes is the only movie I've given a higher than 3 star rating since probably the summer. I'll probably hang onto my subscription for another month or so and see how it goes.
