NoVaSkins21
I really hope that these stats justifies moving Orakpo to DE on a full time basis 'cause he and Carter are a great DE combo.

I_Bleed_B&G
I don't even think thats a "could".It would be a guarantee in my book. We got a real gem in Rak. I didn't want to be that bold because you just never know. Its just a big *if* but I believe he could of been the leader at this point. I'm happy as hell with the 11 he has though
scruffylookin
RAK is the player I've been dreaming the Redskins would draft for over a decade now. We finally have our Dwight Freeney. Our Jason Taylor. Our DeMarcus Ware. Finally!!!!!!!!!
aarobinson
if Rack had his hands in the dirt all season rather then playing LB, he might be leading the NFL in sacks. Or he could be swallowed by OT's on running downs, wear down over the course of the game, and not make as many plays rushing the passer... like last week for example. I think the way the coaching staff is using him is yielding good results.
Justsomeguy
Well at the least Rak should have NFC rookie of the year!!
rhyno
Yeah. Up hear in Bills country, everyone is pissed that they passed up Orakpo. Yet it will likely be a bills player who wind DROY.. Imagine if they had drafted Orakpo.. That would have been a draft coup!

gchwood
When was the last time we had a pass rush from the front 4 like this? The days of Mann and Manley?
Main-Maine
Yeah. Up hear in Bills country, everyone is pissed that they passed up Orakpo. I am so happy they passed on him :hysterical:!!

MTechnik
Elvis Dumervil is cheating - he plays Oakland twice a year. If you have "stats adjusted by games against Oakland" our boys are only one game behind him.
P'Oed
I'm so happy that the ONE player I wanted before he even fell to us on draft day was "Oh Rap Koh." It's pretty rare that my picks end up justified after draft day but I was right on target here!
Braxford
is it me or do the announcers keep pronouncing Orakpo's name wrong? They did and they also said that Randle El was a "threat" in punt returns.:laugh:
acuratl1984
orakpo DEFINITELY D Rookie player of the year.. Hed and Carter may get a sub nod on the probowl roster Brian Cushing 112 tackles 2.5 sacks 1 safety 12 pd 3 int 2 ff Clay Matthews 40 tackles 8 sacks 1 ff Jairus Byrd 45 tackles 9 int 20 pd These are just the 3 that pops into my head when thinking DROTY. I would say it will be a race between Cushing, Orakpo, and Byrd. Orakpo may get it if he breaks the 14.5 Rookie Sack Record, otherwise I dont see it happening
Going Commando
They are the number one tandem in the league now! They are a sack ahead of Freeney/Mathis. And Haynesworth wasn't even playing. Give credit to the offense for building a lead and letting those guys get after them. Think about what Carter and Orakpo could do if Haynesworth gets back out there and our offense goes up multiple scores in the next few games. Orakpo's got a shot at the rookie sack record! After today's ridiculousness, it would be a travesty if Carter didn't get to the pro-bowl and Orakpo didn't receive serious consideration for DROY. Man that was an exciting game. honejc
they also said that Randle El was a "threat" in punt returns.:laugh: yeah... a threat to ruin the reputation of punt returners....
skinsfan07
I fully expect Rak to get 15 sacks this year. That would break the rookie sack record of 14.5 set by Jevon Kearse in 1999. 3 games left to get 4 sacks!!!! Come on Rak do it!
[[ghost]]
Although both had a great game today without him, this is really all thanks to Haynesworth. He's had such a huge impact on their game, and their early success that stemmed from his attention is now turning into confidence and swagger, which keeps them playing premiere without him. HigSkin
Rak benefited from a lot of nickel coverage and a lot of O points. That allowed him to put his hand down. I don't know that he'll get the chance that often with Cowpies and NYG's. He is definitely fun to watch though.
DieHardWSHfan
While I'd love for Orakpo to get 4 sacks the last 3 games, the chances of that happening are pretty low. The next three games are against teams that have surrendered 6th (NYG), 7th (SD), and 14th (DAL) fewest sacks in the league. If Orakpo got 15 sacks, that'd be great, but him merely getting 11 at this point is still phenomenal. When's the last time a rookie DE got this many sacks? Peppers? DGREENHULK
Hate to say it but their 6 sacks today came without 92 in the game....wasted 100 million?
