MattFancy
Just saw on twitter: @RickMaese: Redskins plan on replacing punt returner Randle El with DeAngelo Hall. Blog post coming shortly. This is good news! Randle El just doesn't cut it anymore and Hall has more speed anyway. What took so long to decide this?

Brandon Lloyd Christmas
best midseason news so far. good luck Dhall, we could use some field position.
SkinsHokieFan
One thing D-Hall can do very well is punt return It is stupid it took a season to figure that out
The Tris
What the hell took so long? B/c someone paid him like an elite returner and WR based off one play and didn't want to have egg on their face. So they kept having him thrown out there, hoping in vain to validate their decision. Maximus71
What the hell took so long? The naked pictures of Vinny, Danny and Zorn were found and destroyed by Vinny. He found the pictures in El's locker and he no longer could black mail them.
ljs
Watching Ted Gin jr return punts yesterday almost made me cry..we need that kind of spark. Without his punt/kick returns for TD's-dolphins lose. Same with Eddie Royal in Denver, couple weeks ago he scores 2 TD's from punt/Kick off returns. Without those, Denver loses. Happens every Sunday, and all we get is a fair catch or fumble. Hope this turns something around, but I'm still surprised we don't use DT in that role. That's why I wanted Devin Thomas back there. I think Hall can do the same thing though so it should work out. But I still want Thomas to get a shot returning punts. We need to get him involved in one way or another.

No Excuses
Next move: cutting Randle El. This bum serves no purpose to the team. He is one of the worst players in the league.
WhoRUSupposed2Be
More credibility lost to Randle 'El?! Or Vinny for you haters
Botched
Finally! All Deangelo has to do is catch the ball and fall forward and he will blow away ARE's return average.

The Tris
DH for Atlanta as a PR: 2005: 8 returns for 82 yards 10.3 avg 2007: 5 returns for 41 yards 8.2 avg No TDs ARE: 2006: 8.2 avg (1 TD) 2007: 6.1 avg 2008: 6.5 avg 2009: 5.3 avg Edit: At VA Tech: "He returned 56 punts for 839 yards and five touchdowns. stoney26
If Randel El returning punts for the past two years isnt a clear indication that Danny Boy has his hands in EVERY ASPECT of this team including who returns punts then I dont know what is. As The Tris pointed out, the FO didnt want egg on their face.

Grossly overpaid and asked to be a #2 when he's a number #3 at best? Yes. Horrible PR? Yes One of the worst players in the league? No.

RandyHolt
How can we possibly have risked our #2 WR to injury all these years! You can sense sarcasm in my post. It was a feeble effort to justify his contract, or Zorn was downright afraid to bench one of our highest paid players. "Ding dong...
darkhorse472
It's all good to replace El at PR with DH...but what happens to the secondary when DH gets hurt? Better to train D. Thomas to do it ASAP...we have more depth at WR than at DB...that's scary. Marko to the rescue!
