Soup
I like leftwitch but that long windup, I don't think it would work with the westCoast system. Both campbell and Todd are not the perfect QBs for the west coast offense either so maybe Leftwitch could work. I was hoping they would bring him in during the offseason but I think he wanted more money.
Passizle
Leftwich wants a chance at a starting position. He wont sign here. BTW... LOL at the posters that think Lefwich is viable. And people say Campbell has a slow release. Leftwich does throw the ball... he pitches it. It funny with ES'ers... Outside of Portis, Moss, Cooley and Sellars... its seems we have a "grass is always greener" mentality.

MEANDWARF
Leftwich would be an upgrade to our starting qb positions while Chase and/or Colt developes.
Going Commando
why would anyone trade for a guy the bucs are probably going to have to cut anyway. They might get a 7th rounder for Johnson, but teams are just going to wait for either McCown or Leftwich to get the axe before the season starts. Merlin Emrys
No, those guys aren't any better than what we have. This is the year to find out if Campbell is the guy or not. When you make a long-term investment in a QB like Campbell, you stick it out. If he fails this year, the FO knows it needs a new plan.
S.T.real,lights,out
I do to but if the FO didn't pick him up when it would only cost us his salary I can't see them paying his salary plus trading a pick now. Yeah, i was thinking the same thing.
wvtbred
Thing about Leftwich is he anticipates and hits receivers in stride which is something Jason can't do.
Botched
We should definitely get McCown. I've noticed our towel boys have really been slacking, if they know they have some competition they might pick their games up.
darrell1106
Remeber the only reason we took a look at Leftwich, according to Snyderrato, is for a "cheaper" backup to JC. I believe he was the only FA QB that the front office seemed willing to explain the visit. They still didn't bite so no thanks!
DELskins
Thanks but no thanks. That would be why Todd Collins is on the roster. Unless they are thinking of replacing Collins. The Skins has their chance at Leftwich this offseason but he didn't want to be a backup.

cjrugger
Skins should grab either McCown or Leftwhich if they become available ... each is an upgrade over Campbell and Collins. Sad isn't it? But not Colt right? He's the second coming...
darrelgreenie
I just heard on NFL Network that, as reported by JLC, the Bucs are calling other teams to gage interest in their 3 QB's minus their 1st RD Draft pick J.Freeman. Any one interested in an insurance policy if Campell doesn't preform Friday night? I'm intersting in Josh Johnson because i think he's got potential. Wether or not JC performs is irrevelant. RWJ
It's quite apparent we are stuck with what we have so it will be a QB next in the draft.
Morneblade
I'd go after Leftwich in a heartbeat. The other 2 guys I admitedly dont know much about, but I think Byron would do well here.
method man
Josh Johnson > Colt & Chase. He played in a WCO-type offense, I believe, in college.
tmerrill419
I'd love to have Leftwich. I think he is a lot better than people give him credit and he is the perfect fit in Washington.

The Rizzent
I searched for this and did not find anything... Anywho... hopefully not too many people will go up in arms , but just saw the following link : http://www.fannation.com/truth_and_rumors/view/116371-bucs-shopping-quarterbacks?eref=sihp Pre-season is not the best judgment of some play, but it is good enough to cut players and promote those to 1st team. One idea would be to drop the 2 rookies; Chase and Colt, pickup a fill in Byron Leftwich . QB's could be : Campbell, Leftwich, Collins Leftwich, Campbell, Collins Again speculation/idea what you think?
RenegadeTK
well, the title is definitely on point.... about Leftwich, i always thought it would be great to have him here since he is a local kid. i've seen him play great games, but i also think there is a reason he hasnt caught on anywhere else. morpheusmeyers
The link doesn't work. I read on www.nfl.com this afternoon that the Packers may have an interest in one of the Bucs QB's, perhaps McCown. I seriously doubt we would trade for Leftwich when we declined to sign when he was a FA. Besides, I'm not sure he's an upgrade over Collins. WSHRedskins3ATLBraves3
I'm not sure how you think Leftwich could start even if we acquired him today. That's definitely not enough time to pick up the offense.

That's definitely not enough time to pick up the offense. Agreed, but in all honesty looking at Campbell and even Collins for that matter does it appear they have a good grasp on the offense? Collins does well in my opinion, and I truly hope Campbell succeeds he has all the tools.. But the dink and dunk and incomplete passes .... causes hair to fall out.
