China Posted September 27, 2012 Share Posted September 27, 2012 Deputies: School secretary had sexual relationship with student HAINES CITY -- A school secretary was arrested Monday after detectives said she had engaged in a sexual relationship with a student at the school. Trina Rocker, 41, is facing five counts of unlawful sex with a minor. Rocker, who told detectives she was the secretary for Landmark Christian High School in Haines City, was reportedly involved in the relationship with a 17-year-old male student, investigators said. The relationship started in November 2011 and ended in May 2012, detectives said. According to the arrest affidavit, Rocker and the student had sex five times during those six months. Investigators say the incidents happened in Rocker's car off school property and once on a senior trip to Washington D.C., where Rocker was serving as a chaperone. (KTHV) -- A teacher suspected of having sex with a student turned herself into police Wednesday morning. Courtney Speer, 31, walked into the Bryant Police Department this morning. She is facing several charges of sexual assault in both Bryant and Benton. The former 9th grade English teacher at Bryant High School allegedly had a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old student. What I don't get is why all these teachers are attracted to their students? Now I could see if they were sleeping with guys in their early 20's that they hooked up at with at a bar or something, but 15 and 16 year olds? Maybe they are getting off on the power of the situation? Hell I remember in high school 90% of the girls in school thought they were all "too mature to date high school boys" sheesh. I didn't get any though...that she knew of. Boy, if she only knew. The only teacher I had a crush on was my psychology teacher. She looked like a jewish Sheryl Crow. (WTVR)—A Chesterfield substitute teacher was let go last week after allegations were made by a recent graduate, confirmed a school spokesman. On Tuesday night, just as candidates took off gloves and squared off at the second Presidential debate, a former Cosby High School graduate prepared his own statements. The Cosby graduate took to Twitter with allegations that a Cosby substitute teacher had engaged in sexual activity with him, while he was a student. The graduate posted a tease to his Twitter followers on Tuesday afternoon, saying that he would break some news. He encouraged his followers and anyone who attends or attended Cosby High School to be on Twitter, saying “it will be a treat.” At 9:15 p.m., after announcing that he was “hammered,” the student then began releasing what he says are nude photos of a substitute teacher at Cosby High School. He also posted alleged text message correspondence between him and the teacher, that insinuate they had sexual relations back in April, when he was a high school senior. Twitter exploded with the news. The school was abuzz with discussion about the Twitter news. Katie Hightower, 26, was arrested Wednesday by Pawnee County sheriff's deputies and booked into the county jail. According to court documents, Hightower, a former teacher at Prue High School in Osage County, went to a lake with four students Aug. 17. There, she allegedly referred to one of the boys as "babe" and laid her head in his lap. Investigators say the students told officers Hightower went to Walmart in Cleveland the next morning where she bought them beer. They then went to her home in rural Terlton, in Pawnee County, to drink it. According to court documents, the students said Hightower and boy disappeared into her room and minutes later the students heard her and the teen having sex. Douglas, 21, of Auburn Hills was charged Thursday with CSC III involving a 15-year-old girl she coached. “This is a complicated case and a complicated set of circumstances,” her attorney, John Freeman, told Judge Julie Nicholson in 52-3 District Court Tuesday morning. He asked for a couple of weeks to explore options with the prosecutor’s office, which did not object to the delay. The exam was rescheduled to Nov. 6 at 8:30 a.m. Personal bond of $15,000 was continued. Douglas was ordered to have no contact with anyone involved in the case, to submit to random drug and alcohol testing, to stay away from weapons and assaultive behavior and verify her employment status. According to Undersheriff Mike McCabe, on August 24, detectives learned of an allegation of an inappropriate relationship between Douglas and the 15-year-old. He said that when the family of the victim learned of the incident, they immediately reported it to the Sheriff’s Orion Township substation. Anne Marie Espinoza confirmed that Sotelo had worked as a substitute in several of the district’s schools, and possibly, substituted at least once in the boy’s classroom. However, Espinoza said after the boy’s mother brought the allegations to the district’s attention Wednesday, Sotelo was fired. Bexar County sheriff’s investigators said they also learned of the claims from the boy’s mother. An arrest warrant affidavit stated that detectives then questioned Sotelo, who admitted to having an affair with the boy for several months. The affidavit stated that Sotelo told them she and the teen would meet in her home, at first, to discuss their problems. The relationship, she said, turned sexual in July, with them having sex about once a week, the affidavit stated. Sotelo said she learned she was pregnant during a visit to a hospital emergency room in early September, the affidavit stated. Parallel investigations by Ogden police and the Ogden City School District revealed the woman purchased a cell phone and gave it to the student to use, Croyle said. A search warrant confirmed that partially nude photos were transmitted back and forth between the two phones, Croyle said. Amie Lou Neely, of the 400 block of Southwest Crabapple Cove in Port St. Lucie, was arrested at 5 a.m. Sunday on a sexual assault related charge following a Port St. Lucie police investigation. ... The 16-year-old boy told police he drove Neely to a secluded area by St. Lucie West Centennial High School and parked. He got in the back seat and put a condom on before Neely also got in the back seat. The high school is less than a half mile from Neely’s listed address. As they were having intercourse, Neely’s husband walked up about 10 a.m. Saturday and discovered them. Sabol said Neely’s husband found them through the GPS capability on his wife’s cellphone. Canandaigua City Police charged Lisa Footer, 44, of Manchester, with third-degree sexual abuse, forcible touching and endangering the welfare of a child. Footer is known as Senora Footer to the students she has taught for 22 years. Now the spanish teacher is under arrest and under continued investigation. "We have learned that she had an on-going relationship with a 16 year student," says Sgt. Scott Kadien of the Canandaigua Police Department. Her arrest came after an alleged incident Saturday night. Police say just before 10pm teacher and student were parked in the empty lot of the Byrne Dairy on South Main Street in Canandaigua. Court papers detail the alleged sexual encounter. "Most, if not all of the other incidents that we are aware of dating back to the summer of this year occurred outside the City of Canandaigua," says Kadien.
