Monte51Coleman
http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/news/story?id=3747669 LAS VEGAS -- O.J. Simpson was sentenced Friday to a minimum of 15 years in prison for the gunpoint robbery and kidnapping of two sports memorabilia dealers. Simpson, 61, will not be eligible for parole for five years. A jury on Oct. 3 convicted Simpson and Clarence "C.J" Stewart of a multitude of charges against them in the Sept. 13, 2007, confrontation with the dealers at a Las Vegas casino hotel room. In handing down her decision, Clark County District Judge Jackie Glass said the evidence against Simpson -- all of which was presented on tape to a jury -- was "overwhelming." Simpson, his voice quivering at times, apologized to the court prior to his sentencing and said his only intention that night was to retrieve personal items, family photos and sports mementos that he said had been stolen from him years earlier. "I didn't mean to steal from everybody," Simpson said.

spjunkies
While I know he deserves it I honestly think the sentence would be too harsh if this was not O.J.

Mickalino
While I know he deserves it I honestly think the sentence would be too harsh if this was not O.J. At his previous murder trial, he got off because he WAS oj. So, we're even now.
modazfuk
While I know he deserves it I honestly think the sentence would be too harsh if this was not O.J. Exactly right. For what he was charged with, the average Joe probably wouldn't have even faced a jury.

Corcaigh
While I know he deserves it I honestly think the sentence would be too harsh if this was not O.J. If he broke into your room and robbed you at gunpoint threatening your life, what punishment do you think would be fair?
Mickalino
well it's like a reporter is saying now, whether or not you feel he was guilty at the first trial, oj knew after that trial, he would have a chance to prove himself to society of what kind of person he "really" was....and he has surely failed that test......a 2nd time

And funny how he was all tearful at the sentencing after being convicted, when he wouldn't even make a statement at the murder trial where he wasn't convicted. Pure selfishness. Only shows humility as a very last resort when he knows he's facing jailtime.
